Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun
The Strokes - Last Nite

Paradise City can't be in the game, they already have Suffrogate City and it'd just end up sounding funny.

2 good ones there, would be cool if they put out Dark Side of the Moon album as well, imagine that. Most people on these boards would have said Rock the casbah by the Clash hahaha, it's unreal here. People these days dont appreciate this music, sad.

I think you'll find an equal amount of people here that appreciate the classics as compared to those who will deride them.

That being said, I would love to see "London Calling" (Huge Clash fan here!).

01-10-2008, 07:36 PM
I'll totally second Silversun Pickups' Well Thought out Twinkles, that's got 4 fun parts, and might even be popular enough to get done.

My own two choices:

Toyko Police Club - Citizens of Tomorrow

Let the bass player be a superstar for once! (wait for it (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=16295887), at 1:00, holy crap). Its too obscure, and has too much intro, but if I ruled the world, it would go right in.

Bad Brains - Sailin' On

While we're on the subject of making the bass player a star.

hahaha, no actual rock fan could say no to that.

01-11-2008, 12:55 PM
I would pick a song that should be the rock Anthem for Rock Band. Led Zeppelin and one of the best drummers of all time John Bonham "Moby Dick". A chance for good drummer to really show off. Or "When the Levy Breaks" or "Heartbreaker" or "Kashmir".....haha guess u can tell im a fan of LZ.

my other song would be ZZ Top "She's just killing me." love that song. Also the game could really use some Van Halen. How about "running with the Devil" or "right now". that kick some serious behind.

there are so many songs i want that its really almost impossible to narrow down. I hear so many songs on radio and thing wow that would be great to play on Rock Band.

scottyrotten

There's only one song needed in this game,
The Decline by NOFX, an 18 minute punk epic.

GravityX

I agree on the Guerilla Radio.....my other choice would be....Misery Business by Paramore....although i'll prolly get flamed for not picking somethin that would make my fingers bleed

"Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold:cool:

I've only ever heard Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold, but assume that they would all be like that. I enjoyed that song immensly.

01-15-2008, 01:44 AM
There's a lot of rather obvious songs I would want (pretty much the same ones the majority would), so I'm gonna pick a couple that may not be as known of choices, something different.

Either Familiar, Respirator, We Don't Die, or Darkness by Twiztid (ignoring their ties/label and the fact that a lot of their material is rap...they can do rock pretty damn good).

Either Fly, Life, or Next to Me by Zug Izland

Go ahead and make fun of me but it sounds like it would be fun to play.

We are the champions-Queen

Actually that Power Ranger song would kick butt in RB. I hated the power rangers. But that song sounds like it would be fun to play. Also, would love to get We are the champions.

My picks are

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
kind of slow but who would want to actually "play" this song and sing it. plus the ending is great too.

Let the bodies hit the floor - Drowning Pool
I love this song.

Fluorescent Adolescent -- Arctic Monkeys

Everybody Knows this is Nowhere -- Neil Young

Even though as a guitarist it breaks my heart to not say Cowgirl In The Sand or Like A Hurricane for Neil Young, I know that EKtiN would be a much better song for rockband.
