Because Rock Band needs some more Indie Rock in the DLC, and at least Metric isn't that obscure of a band. Monster Hospital, Dead Disco, and Empty could all be amazing songs in Rock Band (I'm sure the whole other 8 people here who listen to Metric would agree XD)

Just an update for Metric fans...

I e-mailed the band's manager (the e-mail address is posted on their web site) and suggested they try to get some Metric in RB. Here was the response I received:

"Hey,

We will definitely explore this when the record is out. Thanks for the suggestion!

I know what you mean, Fantasies is one of my favorite albums so far this year. I'm absolutely in love with the big deluxe thing I ordered for it.

Given that Satellite Mind would need to be censored (and therefore ruined), perhaps Gimme Sympathy or Gold Gun Girls would be a more suitable choice. Front Row is solid too.

As far as good OWU songs for RB, in addition to Dead Disco and IOU, Succexy is a pretty decent choice for a RB song. Combat Baby could be fun as well.

The newest album Fantasies has amazingly popular radio songs..
Help I'm Alive and Sick Muse are my two top favorites.

Also a ton of other popular classics are
Dead Disco, Succexxy, Patriarch on a Vespa..

I'd never thought of putting anything from GUABA or anything before that in Rock Band, though I doubt it will happen as Metric like to pretend that anything before Old World Underground never happened :P

I have to say though, in the likely chance that Help I'm Alive is available for DLC, I'll cry. (I don't like HIA :( )

Also, I just realized, notice a handful of songs available for DLC were written for movies. I figured that since Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is going to have the same kind of nerd-appeal some of the other movies with songs in Rock Band have, what if we got Black Sheep when Scott Pilgrim came out this year? I think it would fit in Rock Band perfectly.
