I was at the Colony today (Midtown Manhattan's big sheet music store), and on their front rack, right next to each other, were a big book of Rock Band sheet music (guitar tab/vocals) and Guitar Hero sheet music (guitar tab/vocals). I had already bought the Guitar Hero book a few weeks ago, and of course went ahead and bought the Rock Band book. In addition to just playing the music, some other cool ideas came to mind:
1. For those 25 songs at least, now that I have a vocal part in standard notation, it's easy enough to transpose to a Bb key and play the game on Tenor Sax.
1B: I'd pay for a book of the vocal parts of all Rock Band songs, as I can read that more accurately than I can read the parts on the screen. Also, for saxophone playing purposes.
2. When's the drum sheet music coming out?
The songs in the book are, for those who want to get it:
