yes i do think this is the first step towards them being in rock band, i think because they made a whole new album of previosly made songs, i think those songs are songs that they dont have so much of a problem giving royalties to. So, I think that if they were to be in rock band, it would be these songs that they are giving to Itunes, because they might be willing to give these songs up more than they would some of their other songs. Even if they are not on the disc, there is always DLC if they decide to give it up like they did to Itunes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed lol

For some reason, I imagine there's a bit of a corporate bloodbath going on right now. I don't know if it's true or not, but I figure that since everyone knows the "winner" of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band war will be He Who Holds The Best Songs, the acquisitions guys for both Red Octane/Activision and MTV/Electronic Arts must be in some mad competition with each other, scrambling for meetings, phone calls, and trying to get authority to raise offers to various bands ASAP before the other company beats them to the punch.

Remember the movie eJerry MacGuire? When the Tom Cruise character got fired and it was a race between him and his co-worker to retain/steal clients before everything was shut out?

I think that's probably what's been going on between these two groups all summer long.

And I know it's cliche, but please, some Stairway? You can deny us in the music shop if we try to play it on the in store guitar, but in our own living room? I keep thinking about that deleted scene on Almost Famous DVD and thinking "Yeah. That would be cool."
