So if GH3 comes out at the end of October and Rock Band doesn't come out till early November that means having to buy guitars for both games, now we're really talking big dollas. Watchoo gonna doo, buy one (RB or GH), buy both, buy neither, lennie, pie?

Already got GH2 guitars. No point in buying guitars, I'll buy the game only. When RB comes to the stores I'll sell my GH2 hw and buy the new Fenders. They look so much better, at distance you can't tell it's a fake plastic toy, aside from it's small size and the new buttons hopefully will improve gameplay a lot.

I see no use in buying the wireless Les Paul for GH3. What's the point of having a wireless controller for 2-3 weeks that I will never use after the Rock Band Stratocaster is released? Besides, that Les Paul controller looks ugly. It has the shape of the Les Paul, but where are the design elements on the face of the guitar?

Yeah, that's what I heard too. I'm just trying to avoid buying a new guitar for GH3 when Rock Band is coming out a week or two later (again, assuming that the RB guitar will work with GH3). The only other option is not buying GH3 right away, but I don't think I'd be able to do that...

I'm buying both, and if It really came down to it I would only buy Rock Band, so I wouldn't be able to pick your 2nd choice. I'll be getting both, and loving it, I hope GH III doesn't get delayed a week into November like GH II did, and my GH II guitar will be my Rock Band bass.

Isn't GH III's bundle only like $80? Anyways, thats nothing, I'm buying a 360, Rock Band and Guitar Hero, thats going to set me back so much money, not to mention needing to pay for Xbox Live, and DLC.

I will most likely buy GH3, and then switch to RB when it comes out. Depending on how good GH3 is, I might just try to sell it back when RB comes out. We'll see.

I've done the simple thing in this instance. Worried about having to buy 4 controllers for GH III and RB on X-Box 360, I just decided to get GH III on PS2. Sure, if they put out dlc I'll miss it, but I'll be spending most of dlc money on RB anyways

This post sums up my entire feeling as well.... xplorer bass with stratocaster and full bundle. GH3 has done nothing innovative to make their controller option seem attractive.

Uhm, I thought that the RB guitar was compatible with GH3. If so, that just means that your going to be short 1 guitar but will be okay with the BOTH games. Just need to make sure your friends bring their guitars with them when playing together on GH3! =D

I'm going to wait and see what the reviews say about GH3. I haven't liked Neversoft since THPS2, and I don't like what they are doing to GH. I'll be picking up a RB bundle asap! I can't wait! And I live soooo close to Harmonix, it makes me want to sneak in and DEMAND to playtest... for free... =D

I plan on getting Rock Band first.. then eventually I'll get GHIII.. I don't the money for both, so I'm getting the one I'm more excited about first.. besides, my friend might be getting GHIII (probably for PS2 though, since he doesn't have any next-gen systems), since he has the other two, so I can just play at his house if I need to.

Maybe I can get GHIII for Christmas or something.. even though I probably won't play much until I'm done with Rock Band.

I want both guitars... never know which will be better.

And oddly enough between the SG and Xplorer... between GH2 for the PS2 and 360... some songs I play better on the SG and some better on the Xplorer. Dunno if its the difference in the fret buttons or strum bar... but I can 5 star Misirlou on the PS2 but not on the 360. And I can beat Jordan on the 360 almost every try but on the PS2 it's maybe once or twice a day.

Rock Band is, I confess, the reason I finally caved and went from my PS2 to a PS3. However, it also means that I've got all those old GH games sitting around still being played on the PS2. I do plan on getting both GH3 and RB, but I'm hoping I can cheat it and use only the Fender for RB, GH and, hopefully, the PS2 GH games. I really don't feel like having three separate guitars and two consoles sitting around to play three different games.

i plan on buyin the GHIII package then buyin the rb package, so then i can use the les paul as the bass and the stat as lead. i need wireless you cant rock as hard with the wired controllers

I'M just waiting for rock band at the moment, try as i might I just don't find GH III all that appealing other than a few of songs on the track list which could end up at some stage as DLC for Rock band if not no big loss.. if the rock band controller works for GH III then i may get the game on it's own at a later date other wise it's rock band all the way.
