I think we've seen a lot of stuff from people expecting strange things from mainstream game players. Most people aren't going to like Speed Metal or even things like My Chemical Romance, so I put together a few 90's favorites of mine (and a couple of others) that I think would work pretty well.
Personal List:
Alice in Chains - No Excuses or I Stay Away
Bush - Machine Head
Days of the New - The Down Town
Sevendust - Black or Angel's Son
Faith No More - Epic
Puddle of Mudd - Blurry
The Eagles - Hotel California
Tonic - Casual Affair or If You Could Only See
And maybe for the more advanced tiers:
The Mars Volta - Inertiatic ESP
