so i have been wanting Rockband since it came out and luckily recieved an XBOX 360 for Christmas from my loving gf.

my parents got me Rockband and i was pumped to play it.

we finally set it all up and the top green button on the Strato doesn't work GREEEEAT! over $500 to play the game and the main peripheral doesn't work.

fine, played it with some Guitar Hero guitars.

all is nice and good until about 3 weeks later when i get a group together to play and the MIC doesn't read!! and get this . . . the guitar's top green button DOES work! wtf.

and then of course the Down strum doesn't work on the guitar . . .and then the top green button goes out.

so i have Rockband with: a guitar that has no top green button and no down strum, and a non-reading mic.

wtf.

should i take it directly back to the store and get a new set or hassle with what sounds like horrible customer service?

you aren't suppose to return any rockband items to the retail store you got it with. Use the EA support to get new ones. Also over the course of your post you mentioned that the green button stopped working at three different points. Might try and be more clear next time you post as to when it actually stopped, or if it started working again mention that as well.
