Lolz, if you have a problem with saying "*****in", then you do not belong in rock. Seriously.

I agree,
Swearing in songs is certainly more acceptable than in conversation, Writers have used 'language' to convey anger, hate, love etc in books and films for years, so songs shouldnt be any different.
What is important is to remember that swear words in songs are there to 'emphasise' a feeling. (or thats what they should be there for)

I can't see them doing anything about words any less offensive than f***, but how many rock songs really have lots of f-bombs in them? This is Rock Band, not Gangsta Rap Band :)

Still, rather unfortunate for us GWAR fans

Remember Killing In The Name? That real song had like 20 "**** You I wont do what you tell me" in it but they changed it pretty well while still conveying the anger.

16 of the first verse followed by a 17th use of **** in "mother****er."
Truth be told, gangsta rap doesn't have anything on underground metal. You'll hear *****, dick, ****, etc. about 10-20 times per song put together, but in some death metal songs you will hear **** upwards of 30 times in the longer songs. Most of it isn't like that, however. Black Metal when sung in the native language of Norway, where it was founded, makes extensive use of **** in relations to religion. What? Just because it's not in English, it's not bad?
Go the length, if you want to go at all.

Yeah I say we should allow cursing, its part of the song and if you find it offensive then maybe have an option to change to alternate lyrics? Like in Tony Hawk you can turn off the blood.

yes i feel that cursing will be censored in the game, but i think that you will be able to say the words. i mean whos gaonna stop you from cursing. its called freedom of speach.

I would guess that the vocals in this game will work like Kareoke Revolution in that it only detects tone.

It's more of a public relations thing: This isn't just a game for teens. It's rated T for lyrics that we'll understand, kids won't. Cursing is universal, and this is a party game.. a family game.

It is not really a "Family" game. I mean if it was a family band all of the songs would have to be by the Partridge Family. Though Danny Bonaduce would be a great addition to this game.

It would be good if for singers, you could choose to do the "original" lyrics somehow so that any timing that doesn't match up doesn't kill your score.
I can guitar my way through Killing In The Name Of happily, but I wouldn't be so keen to karaoke that clean remix. That's just me though.

The only reason bands like Sum 41 and My Chemical Romance were in the original guitar hero games is purely because they appeal to children (and pussified teens, thanks MTV!)

You are, such an *******, lay off people who listen to different music from you.
For people like you it is not an issue of taste in music, no, you make it into a character issue. And that is bull****. Just because the direction music is moving in is not your direction does not give you the right to be a jackass.
