I think TMNT would only be good with the vocals. Don't get me wrong, it'd be the best vocals in the game IMO. But it wouldn't cater to the rest of the band.

They should put together like a medly of a few TV Themes with the necessary instruments.

Some that could work are:

Power Rangers, Captain Planet (transpose the synth to guitar), Darkwing Duck (write a guitar part cause the slap bass is sick!), Fragglerock, Johnny Bravo, Pokemon, Ren and Stimpy (Reverend Horton Heat did an amazing job), SWAT Cats (season 2), X-Men, and Kappa Mikey

Or maybe even Buckethead's Power Rangers theme from the movie soundtrack, has more than just the two lines for the vocalist!

I actually like the german version better. If you listen closely it uses more instruments (more keyboard, yeah) in the song and that sound better IMO.
Well, it also reminds me of my youth, but I still think it sounds better in german.
