I'm only interested in drums and guitar.. so i will have to wait and see how everything is going to be released and the pricing of course, I'm hoping that you can buy the controllers without the game as i may get one with the game and then the other controller later i don't want to have to get the game again as well, i'm saying this because I'M in the UK and the PS2 GH controllers were vary hard to get on their own if at all, and i don't want Rock band to be the same way.

Not sure exactly what you mean. There's single career mode, then there is world band tour mode (career) And for that, they have stated you only need at least 2 real players to do that.

I think that's what you're asking about. You just need at least 2 people to do World Band Tour, and that can be with any combination of instruments.

For current GH2 owners on the 360, I think the most cost-effective setup is to purchase one of each of the new instruments, and then use the GH2 xplorer for the bass.

Me and my family have worked something out. For Christmas, one person buys the game for the person with the 360(me), one person buys the drums for the drummer(brother), one buys the mic for the singer(me, brother, or mother), and one buys the guitar for the bassist and guitarist(mother, and me).

Very true. I'll definitely be getting the whole thing, but only the guitar at first. Might wait on a second guitar for a while though. Mic and drum kit are secondary, and I'd be getting the drum kit before the mic because my friends can't sing and I don't like singing games all that much.

If the bundle is $200 or less I'll be getting that.
If the price is much higher then that I'll start with the drums and pick up the mic and guitar later and in that order.
If for what ever reason the GH2 x-plorer or the GH3 les paul don't work with RB my priority will be guitar, drums, mic and then another fender for bass.
On a side note if anything is done by the GH people to intentionally make the les paul incompatible with RB I'm getting GH with out the guitar... I may not even get GH3 if they do something like that.

To buy Rock Band without all of the peripherals would be like buying a kite just to get the string.
