Guitar not recognized - Xbox360

Hi there,

I picked up the RockBand bundle for Xbox360 2 days ago and the 360 doesn't seem to recognize the guitar. When I plug the guitar into the 360, directly into a USB port or into the USB hub, 2 of the green lights around the xbox360 guide button on the guitar light up but none of the controller lights on the console light up and pressing buttons on the guitar does nothing.

Also, if I plug in the guitar with the xbox off, it lights up anyway and I can not turn on the 360 by holding down the guide button on the guitar.

Any idea what's wrong? Do I need to RMA it right away or am I just doing something wrong?

sounds like you need to RMA theres something wrong with the electronics in the guitar.

Syncing has nothing to do with Xbox controllers that are not wireless. You plug it in, it registers with the Xbox, done. That's the way it's supposed to work. Then sync button on the Xbox is only for wireless controllers.

Larmos is correct, you need to get your guitar controller replaced.
