RB guitar with GH?

We have PS2, our Guitar Hero guitar works with Rockband, but my daughter tried to play Guitar Here with the RB guitar and she said the disk wouldn't even start.

I thought if the GH worked with RB, then RB would work with GH??

The Rockband Guitars dont presently work with Guitar Hero. The 2 companies are fighting over this and it doesnt look like it will ever get settled.

Guitar Hero guitars do work with Rockband, but not the other way around.
I know this sucks, but it's the way it is.

Secondly, No. Rock Band Controllers will not work for Guitar Hero.

My rock band guitar works with guitar hero 2 (360), but not properly. I can only use 2 buttons, green and blue or red and orange (might have mixed it up).

Thanks for the welcome! We're pretty new to TN, only been here since May 28th I think, but loving it!!!

That's odd about the guitars, I knew the GH guitars didn't work for the PS3 RB, but I figured since my GH guitar works with RB, that it would work the other way around too..

She did say nothing would load after she tried, the turned it off and tried to load with the RB guitar and it wouldn't work, so I hope she didn't screw something up!

I tried using the RB guitar (PS3) with my PS2 (since they are the same guitar) and it won't even power on. I'm assuming you need to have RB loaded for it to work, needs a certain driver loaded or something.
