Screen Menu Format Question

I have been paying attention for a very long time on this game and I still can't quite find the answer to my question. On the screen there is vocals at the top, drums in the middle, and guitars at the left and right. My question is what side is lead and what side is bass?

Left is lead, right is bass.

I actually don't think it matters, I think I've seen it both ways, it just matters who picks lead and who picks bass...I think heh.

For the most part I have seen it right side guitar and left side bass.

yeah in some videos the bass is on left and other videos the lead guitar is on the left. I think it just matters which controller is bass or lead.
