This is one of the bands I most want to see in this game.
They are definitely one of the most unique and creative bands of our time. So HMX, if you are listening, YOU MUST INCLUDE RADIOHEAD!!!!!

Paranoid Android has a great bass line, vocal part and two kickass solos. Wouldn't mind seeing that one.

Either Paranoid Android or anything from The Bends (except Street Spirit (Fade Out)) would bd great...

I would want 'Creep' but that's the obvious answer so I am going to say either 'Karma Police' or 'Optimistic'

I could go for this. If they were in I think we'd be likely to see 'Creep' on the main disc, but hopefully would get some other greats for DLC...Paranoid Android is definately one of my favorite songs...

I still hope Paranoid Android will be the song that's on the disc. (If Radiohead is on it anyway)
I mean, Creep is nice, but just look in this forum. Almost everyone wants Paranoid Android. This song is a masterpiece. I need to play and sing it!! Creep is a nice song. But it's just a nice song. Paranoid Android is, as I said, a masterpiece.

Agreed. Creep just doesn't really represent Radiohead's music anymore. They have gone so far beyond that first album.
Honestly, if we get anything from The Bends or later I would be very happy. :)

Oh I completely agree with this. But, 'Creep' is, I think, the one that would be the most identifiable to the general masses, and the most accesible. So I think it would be the most likely to make it on the disc, as it appears from other selections that's how they're working this whole thing.
And again, hopefully we would then see some Radiohead DLC that included PA...

Don't listen to him Harmonix. :p
Still, I would be kinda sad if I read they included Radiohead and I get this feeling of joy and suddenly I see... oh, it's just Creep. :(
Besides, there still may be some people who only know Paranoid Android, since it was the outro song of an Anime. (although, I guess everyone has heard Creep once on the radio)

We need more than one song. To do a great band like Radiohead justice we need The Bends and OK Computer available as downloadable albums!

Hey, I'm only guessing based on the rest of the announced track list. Maybe I'll be wrong. I hope I am.
course, we could just wind up w/ no radiohead whatsoever...and then we shall weep...

See, I love this kind of attitude. These games are not all about playing music that you would love to LISTEN to, they're about playing music that would be fun to PLAY. Those two ideals are not necessarily a one-to-one relationship. If someone is generally excited about a band or song, I tend to agree with them that it should be in the game, because it's probably going to be pretty darn fun. So many people seem to pop up and disagree just on their own personal taste or ignorance. It ticks me off.
Sorry for ranting a bit.

Radiohead is my all time favorite band by far, so of course I would absolutley love to see them in this game.
Creep is definatley the one song I do not want at all. Its a decent song, but Radiohead has made so many much better songs and songs that are extremeley appropriate for this game.
I would personally die with happiness if anything off The Bends or OK Computer made it in. I would love to see The Bends, Just, Airbag, Paranoid Android, Electioneering, or pretty much anything.
Of course seeing full albums of OK Computer and The BEnds available for download would be even better.
I seriously would love if any Radiohead was in the game, but Creep is definatley a song I barely recognize with radiohead.

Not only is Creep barely represent Radiohead, I think it'd be pretty boring to play as well. The coolest part of the song would be reduced to two notes. It really wouldn't be much fun.
I agree that entire DLC RH albums would be amazing, and I hope Electioneering makes it to the game disc!

PS. Paranoid Android would be cool too

Didn't we have a similar discussion in another thread? Someone back then said that Radiohead would not give permission to use Creep, and that sounds plausible to me. So it's unlikely it would be that song.
I'm completely open as to what song (as long as it's not from Pablo Honey). I'd be happy if they'd include Radiohead at all. :-)
And no Street Spirit bashing here! That's a wonderful song.

Radiohead liscensed about 5 songs from The Bends to Rockstar: INXS and Rockstar: Supernova, so I'd be surprised if they wouldn't let Rockband even use covers of their songs...
ps. I wasn't bashing Street Spirit, I just meant that I couldn't possibly perform it, it's far too depressing, even Thom Yorke said it is, he's said he disconnects himself from the lyrics when performing it, if he paid attention to them, he'd "break down" on stage

I'm expecting Radiohead in this game. Most likely 'The Bends' above all else. Although, 'OK Computer' would surely follow.

I'd say, why not.

But I'd say: "Yeah! Go right ahead."
So yes.

Man, you have to hear some more. "Creep" is off their first album, and while it is an OK song, it does not at all represent what Radiohead has "become."
Check out the albums "The Bends" and "OK Computer" in that order. Then make your way to "Kid A," "Amnesiac" and "Hail to the Thief."
You will be a better person for it. :D
Oh, and having a little smoke around for this process doesn't hurt. ;)

Go to youtube, search up Paranoid Android, Street Spirit, No Suprises, Airbag*, The Bends*, Just, Fake Plastic Trees, How to Dissapear Completely, Go to Sleep*, and then tell me what you think of Radiohead.
*means look for the Live on Jools Holland video

I did, I really tried, I WANT to like them. Hell, I flat love their instrument sounds (very creative), but they remind me of Smashing Pumpkins -- could have been the world's best instrumental band...but then the vocals started and it was all downhill. I'd have a ball with their stuff in GH3, but for RB, that whiny, crying, falsetto style just doesn't work for me. Five seconds into Paranoid Android it was painful. If they had a different vocalist, I'd be a big fan. I voted no, but I'm all for them being available for DLC.

I feel the same about Smashing Pumpkins, but not with Radiohead. Thom York has a great voice IMO. However, I will admit it is a "unique" voice, so I could see how it is not for everyone.
Hey, at least with RB you can substitute in your own voice if you don't like it. :)

Yea, I could see that from them. In fact, it doesn't surprise me one bit. But RS is far from any kind of music authority anymore. At one time, yes, but they've lost it. They're all style over substance now. It seemed to happen during the grunge era (when rock vocals turned into a wasteland - what a coincidence!) and it continues to this day.
But like you said, to each their own. This is music, and it's all subjective.

instead of creating a new thread for this, i'll be a good boy and post it in the latest Radiohead thread. i present to you, the viewing public:
The Ultimate Radiohead Rock Band Setlist (in order of their albums):
Pablo Honey – entire album *minus Thinking About You (this album is good early 90’s rock, very underrated)
The Bends – entire album (literally every song would be awesome for every instrument)
My Iron Lung EP – The Trickster, Lewis (Mistreated), Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong, Permanent Daylight (I doubt they would ever dig into the EP’s, but what the heck, it’s a wishlist)
OK Computer – entire album *minus Fitter Happier (this album is epic; Paranoid Android would be my pick for a song on the game disc if rh is included. it would be a perfect encore song imo)
Airbag/How Am I Driving EP – Pearly, Reminder, Polyethylene, Palo Alto
Kid A – Optimistic, Idioteque (if they could pull off the note chart for the guitar/noises, this would be such an incredible song to play)
- Considerations - How to Disappear Completely, Morning Bell
Amnesiac – I Might Be Wrong, Knives Out
- Considerations - Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box, Dollars & Cents (again, if they can somehow map the note chart for the noises to the guitar and bass parts in these songs, they would be pretty fun)
Hail to the Thief – entire album *minus We Suck Young Blood (no guitar & too scary for the children) and I Will (no drums or bass) **The Gloaming & Myxomatosis are also songs where the guitar part would be noises; drum part for The Gloaming is electronic beats.
this also serves as a pretty good guide of what to check out if u haven’t heard a lot of Radiohead and consider yourself a fan of rock music. once u develop the taste for Radiohead, all other music seems petty in comparison (excluding Pink Floyd, of course).

They are definitely one of the most unique and creative bands of our time. So HMX, if you are listening, YOU MUST INCLUDE RADIOHEAD!!!!!
I've been campaigning for this from the first few posts, HELL YH. (read below)
Airbag is a good un. The more rocky ones are on Hail to the Thief, which, though I wish it could be OK Computer, but the songs on there are not quite right for RB IMHO.

anything from OK Computer, KID A or IN RAINBOWS.
You know what really creeps me out? The fact that HMX didn't use Radioheads new stuff.
Even Radiohead doesn't want to play Creep. It's like wearing your old busted out sneakers when you have 10 brand new pairs. You can't give them away so just throw them away already!!
