Will there be any Iron Maiden?!
if so which i please hope so!!!
please put Aces High, Afraid to shoot strangers, where eagles dare, number of the beast, the evil that men do, wasted years, Run to the hills, be quick or be dead, 2 minutes to midnight, the clairvoyant (great for bass)hollowed be thy name, clans man, virus, ..pretty much as much iron maiden as you can add!! UP THE IRONS!
second question:
If lets say i form a band, and i want to challenge someone elses band...how will that work in the online play?
third question:
is there a possibility of adding double pedal to drums??
and lastly:
will you please add more metallica albums!! possibly Master of Puppets and Justice Albums?!?!

Answer to 1:
No one knows yet. The only confirmed songs are on the rock band website.
Answer to 2:
As of right now. Nothing in confirmed, but it'll most likely work like so: You choose a band to go against, and you and your band rock out for the better score/
Answer to 3:
As of right now, no. I think it would be too complicated.
Answer to 4:
If you want to make a suggestion, just add it into the "Your ultimate setlist" section. But trust me, there's plenty of Metallica suggestions.

well for double pedal i was thinking it could be the same Note right..orange or wahtever the color is...and then just almost lay the orange notes on top of eachother and then let the two pedals be stepped on and i think that would work

There shouldn't be a problem at all actually. A double pedal would simply allow someone to play faster and more intricate bass patterns. It could also be used to play the hi-hat with your foot which would leave your hands free to play other cymbals or drums. It could also be used to simulate the opening and closing of the hi-hat, but I think that might be a bit much for the game at the moment. I'd love to actually see that implemented in the game though.

Definitely. Rock Band is on a whole other level. Guitar, Bass, Vocals, and Drums! GH3 can't even come close to competing with that. They are going to try and bank on the songs they can get for their game, but I don't think that will even be close to enough. Since I am a drummer it only makes gh3 that less attractive to me when comparing it to Rock Band as well.

With the way this game is sounding ( with all of it's DLC, as well as multiple instruments and genres ), why would anyone buy GH3?
Been there, done it, and now there's something different, so why repeat history and do what's already been done?
I wear my $200.00 like a sidearm. I'm ready for this thang.

:( are you sure this shouldn't go in the "ultimate songlist" section of the forum??? WE EFFING GET IT!!! YOU LIKE IRON MAIDEN!!!!! If everybody created a thread asking for every song that their favorite band has ever made this would be one crowded and useless forum. ;)
.....as long as we are asking all these questions I'd like to see Natural Science, Limelight, Roll the Bones, Working Man, The Trees, The Spirit of Radio, Fly By Night, Freewill, 2112, Earthshine, Vapor Trails and New World Man in the game!!! lol

It's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks the way I do. Hopefully there are a few more like us out there, but only a few. Otherwise it would be like we sold out and no "true" musician wants that. :p

Well I'll never play GH3 since my time will be spent playing Rock Band. There is no point in buying a game I won't play right?

I'm not getting GH III because i feel rock band offers far more.. granted GH III has a good set list so far but that's not to say rock band wont have the same songs as DLC at a later date if the rock band Guitar is supported by GH III then i may pick it up at a later date if not then it's no loss to me.

Why do people keep asking about a double pedal? It's not going to happen at this point in development. Besides which, it would be awfully complex to the average joe (remember, this game is aimed at average joes, not musicians) to master a double pedal. There are many professional drummers out there still trying to figure out how to properly use it.
Other than that, song suggestions belong in the setlist forum (as was pointed out).
GH III is going to be fun as well, maybe not as fun as RB, but still fun. I'll be picking it up for PS2 to reduce cost to me. Besides which, more songs to play is never a bad thing, and who's to say that these songs will eventually show up as DLC for RB, they could have been given to GH III under exclusive licence for all we know.

Thank you Whofan. This is the exact explanation I have given to at least 5 different people asking about double bass now. People want it in the game, but don't realize how difficult it is to learn to do it.
My example was my band I had when I was a teenager. My friend was a great drummer, but took him months to finally perform well at double bass. I'm so sick of this damn question coming up in every thread.

No one cares how hard it is for you or anyone else. If you can't play double bass then play on an easier difficulty. That is what difficulties are for. How hard is that to understand? Higher difficulties aren't made for the average Joe to feel special because he can pass a game on the "hardest" difficulty. The hardest difficulties are made for above and beyond average Joes like me and others who actually have no problem at all playing double bass. I'm sorry you and your friends can't, but don't take the fun away from those of us who can. I do not believe the argument that this game is only for the average Joe. The game is made by real musicians and I'm sure they'd want to create a game that is more than just a joke. So shut up and go practice instead.
Anyway, I’ll be back in a couple days. I have gold tickets to see Dream Theater and then tickets to see Symphony X the day after. Peace.

Iron Maiden seems to be a GH3-band, sadly. It looks like it might get pretty evil soon w/exclusive bands and such. And, not to knock the game in its own forum but, if RB doesn't have a good songlist, no one's gonna buy it. You could have the most innovative game in the world (see Beyond Good and Evil, Gitaroo-Man, and Rez) but if no one cares what's in it, then it'll just sit there collecting dust. I'm not knocking the game itself, it looks fun from the clips that're online, but 200 bucks is a lot to drop on anything so I hope RB delivers soon w/songs.

because man, i gave guitar hero f'kin chances man, people begged and begged for more songs, for cheaper pricing, and i waited and waited and still same pricing, and no new songs..one track pack after what? 3 months? no online... as they said.. they rather make a new one and rip everyone off.... and u never know, they are capable of doing the same thing again...lightning doesnt strike twice...but in the GH world, it might so screw that man! its time to go to the next way better thing..ROCK BAND. im through with the GH franchise bud.
oh and...the number of the beast on GH3 made my mouth water............. it almost made me want to buy it...but then i remembered...i can play it on an actual guitar so im good :P..but no online on an actual guitar....
