Really glad there's a 60 day warrantee on all the equipment in Rock Band. Last night, my roommate started complaining about our guitar; saying it didn't register any strums on a down motion. I knew it had been a little on the fence to begin with, so I just figured I'd try it out myself a little later and see if it warranted an RMA of the guitar.

Then today, I went on and started playing some score duels on the drums when I realized I was randomly losing my multiplier (thus, losing duels) on sections that involved a lot of yellow notes. I looked at the pad and noticed a big dent that's now constantly popping in and out of place, causing extra hits on the yellow notes.

Knowing that the drums were broken and the guitar was on its way out at the very least, I decided to go ahead and fill out the forms on EA's support site and get replacements on their way here. Afterwards, I went back to see how well I could fair in some more score duels dealing with the broken pad. I won a couple songs and just as I went back to the song selection screen, something odd happened under my foot. I looked down to find the pedal snapped in half under my feet. So, I came back upstairs and filled out yet another form for a replacement pedal. After looking at a thread on here that mentioned EA sending back the original equipment again in similar situations, I'm glad I gave them credit card info for the express shipping (and a guarantee on *new* equipment).

I'm planning on upgrading to a different microphone sometime in the future, anyway, so I'm glad there's at least one peripheral I won't have to RMA...

Congratulations on the Rock Band hardware hat trick!

The good news is:

1. The new guitar will have a magnetic strummer and never fail like your first one did.

2. The new drumpads have fixed that weak yellow pad flaw.

3. The new drum pedals are stronger specifically because of the pedal snapping.

So all your new stuff should be good as gravy, although I would consider being easier on the drum pedal, playing heel down, perhaps getting a reinforcement metal plate.
