I've got a big question about the first album DLC, Who's Next? by The Who. I'm a long time Who fan (My Wife will be amazing on this game...gonna buy a tank and an air-o-plane when she catches up with me won't be no time to explain! She thinks I've been with another woman and THAT'S ENOUGH to drive her HALF INSANE!!!) but I was wondering what harmonix is going to do about heavy piano and/or keyboard songs like "getting in tune" and "the song is over"??? Will there be a piano track running in the background or will these songs have to be covered to make the piano part into a guitar part? anybody know???

:D When my fist clenches, crack it open

Before I use it and lose my cool!

When I smile, tell me some bad news

Before I laugh and act like a fool!!!!

If I swallow anything evil

Put your finger down my throat!

If I shiver, please give me a blanket;

Keep me warm, let me wear your coat!

Something I've been wondering myself, specifically how will Baba 'O Riley be handled?

I believe the albums are the master tracks, so they may just have the piano etc playing in the background i don't think they would edit it out or change it to guitar parts guitar hero only did that because they hardly had any masters.

Let us hope the fat keyboard player from GH1 makes a return to the series. (was he even in GH2 at all? I don't remember seeing him.)

The songs being masters, most likely they will not edit or change any of the parts, so certain songs that are heavy on piano will just have that piano playing in the background.

Yeah, he was in GH2. Play Jessica.

I hope they let you make a "Backup musician" so you can customize what your keyboard/rhythm guitar/theremin/cowbell player looks like. I'm making Will Ferrell :)

Or YYZ. I think he replaces the singer in any instrumental. (So, Misirlou, Jordan, and Soy Bomb, too, probably. Am I missing any?)

Well I was wondering because they said that there won't be any background track ("if nobody plays, it's silent" i think was the exact quote from GI) I guess that doesn't have to apply to every song...especially if it's download content songs. I guess I'd perfer to have keys in the background and hear the songs the way they were meant to be heard rather than harmonix butchering the song just to fulfill some promise in the footnotes of a magazine from two months ago...I think harmonix wants to preserve the music and that is their overall NUMBER ONE GOAL (it's all about the music!) and thus I doubt that they would make crappy cover versions of songs that include instruments they can't actually have people play.

Harmonix has stated that songs with heavy keyboard parts won't be converted into guitar.

Just watch the Bon Jovi Gamespot video for proof.
