Weird Dlc Issue? Loading Slow

:eek:when im offline the dlc loads up like BOOM...and i got all the songs at 105 songs right now when online it takes FOREVER!!!...maybe not forever but id say bout alil over a minute...still why is it when im online it loads up all crazy slow? when offline it loads up in less the 4 seconds!:eek:

yea, have you tried PLAYING the songs when offline? xD

the reason it takes 2 seconds is cuz it;s not loading them. you can't play any dlc unless yer connected to the internet to comfirm yer gamertag.

From what I've read on these forums (and I'm assuming you have a 360), when you're connected to Xbox Live, the DLC performs and integrity check to make sure you have rights to play those songs on that profile.

If you are not online, and you are using the original 360 you downloaded those songs on, it will load very quickly. This is because it is not required to check the DLC on the original console. If you were to take them to a friend's 360 and were not online, it will not let you play the songs at all.

Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.

oh yeah they work just fine!...downloaded all songs straight onto my hdd my xbox...i know about the console id tag thing ...but all my songs work offline its just online they load up extremly slow! offline is quick quick !...kinda bothers me when i jump from drums to guitar to mic...it loads it up again and again! :(

I have DL'd most of it too, and it is pretty slow. If it's really that bothersome you could disconnect the cable to load the songs, then reconnect so you can still post times to the leaderboards

yeah true true...doesnt bother me too hardcore just came to my attention live went down and when it was loading it went Boom loaded really fast...so i dissconnected everything n restarted tryed it that way and loaded really fast again offline..so i was like KoooL...connected to live and it took a minute to load? must be the LiVe! lol they gotta fix that chit!

Apparently when you're connected to XBL and you load up the game, it takes forever to load additional content because it's checking to see which DLC you have, and then it sets up something so that if you play online, it'll only match you with people that have the same DLC (so a game doesn't load and one person has a downloaded song, and the other doesn't).

Which would explain why it "loads" it almost instantly when you're not connected to XBL.

This is NOT the case -- it does not attempt to match you with people who have the same DLC. It would be awesome if that were true, but it is not. It's just trying to check the DRM for each individual piece of DLC, that's what takes all the extra time.
