Eh the whole RockBand experience would not accomodate or be fully expressed on the Wii , since there isnt an HDD for Full Albums and Wii's Online is very mediocre compared to Ps Network and Xbox Live

If GHIII can come online so can Rock Band. Numbed down and lacking DLC but possible.
Still the eventual Wii release is FAR off.

I see no reason why the game cannot come out on the Wii, the only problem lies with the fact that the Wii has almost no memory, and would not be able to handle all the DLC, so people who settled for the Wii version would not be getting the entire Rock Band experience.

That sounds like a pretty big problem to me. It's a big part of the reason I went out an bought a PS3.

The wii game could ship with a 4 gig sd card.

Expansion USB cards?
Pack in a USB memory card and somehow offer expansions. Maybe through computer.
Sounds logical actually.

Now I have never used an SD card with my Wii so correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't that not work? Similar to VC games how they cannot be accessed by the Wii, but you have to move your VC game from your SD card to the Wiis internal memory if you want to play it.
Another choice, which would be a large pain, but I guess it could work would be to release actual expansion games on a disc, that could work I think.
All of these reason lead me to possibly be selling my Wii, but definately to be buying a 360.

It'd depend how the game itself was programmed... if the game itself was programmed so it read from that drive, then yeah, it'd pick up the songs. So I see it being very doable.
I just wish they would release it at the same time... as it is, I'm gonna be buying a 360, and to think, I vowed I wouldn't buy a PS3 or a 360 until they dropped a ton in price... damn you Rock Band! Damn you straight to hell!

I don't see a wii version being very profitable. I have a feeling HMX plans on making most of their money off rock band through DLC

One thing I'd love to see the Wii have is a 'start with a Mii' feature. I know Miis aren't complex enough to allow you to just 'import' your character, but what if you could start out with a Mii. Sure it's a pretty small feature, but I'm a sucker when it comes to utilizing the unique features offered by the Wii.

ExciteTruck accessed the SD card. I can see Rock Band doing the same.

I owned a Wii at one point. I went 3 months without playing it because of the lack of fun games, so I decided to sell it to a friend so I could buy a 360. I haven't gone more than a day without playing my 360, and I can't say as much for the Wii.
Things like this are exactly why I'm glad I made that decision. Not being able to play rockband is like punishment for buying a Wii.
AND THE WII IS STILL HARD TO FIND! WHY? I MEAN C'MON, IT'S JUST SO FRIGGIN' SWEET MANG!
