Nashville ***** just screams Rock Band!

Which brings up something I've been wondering about - and that's language. How is Harmonix/XBL going to handle some "questionable" song lyrics? Because I, for one, would be terribly disappointed if they either edit out lyrics or just avoid songs with controversial lyrics altogether.

Given the amount of songs they are promising, how are they going to handle this?

i hope they just use the original lyrics with all the "swears"!
It be kinda cool to say like the f word loud in front of friends without getting yelled at!

Yeah. I really want to hear something about this. If any of you have heard the god-awful cover of "Police Truck" by Dead Kennedy's on GH: Rocks the 80's. It's laughably bad. And completely ruins the point of the whole song...which is Police Brutality. As far as I'm concerned, either put the song in in all it's glory or leave it out completely.

Profanity isn't even necessary. And it will not make it's way into RB for that I am sure. What's the biggest way to reduce your sales by half? Yeah I think you know.

It may not be necessary. But it's a fact. And I'm not necessarily talking about profanity. What about a classic song such as "Cocaine?" Will that make it into Rock Band?

At the very least. Give us a "This song/album contains mature lyrics" and give us an option, so we don't miss out on many, many classic songs which DO contain, "profanity"

I'm talking about DLC here, and not so much what comes on the disc.

This has been heavily debated. Though there is a nice 3+ page thread on the Rock Band forum about censoring. They made some good points there.

Consoles have different parental controls, perhaps they could offer 2 versions and etc.
