Slowdown Issues

Well, I Imported the game from the USA, I'm in Portugal and got the game in January 17th...

By the second day the guitar was giving me problems with double hits when down strumming and sometimes not hit at all, so had to open it and tried to fix it with help from some threads in the forum, not been able to get yet fully functional (now it's the up strumming that's registering double hits), but I'm confident in getting it right...

Apart that issue everything else was cool, but now I've been getting some slowdown issues when playing... I'm currently in BWT and starting to play some songs in hard and that's when these slowdowns started to happen, I'm playing Guitar/Bass and my friend on the Drums and sometimes the note chart like stutters, has some breaks, do you know what I'm trying to explain? Does anyone have the same problem? What can I do to solve it?

I play in a 60gb PS3, with a 42" Philips Aurea Full HD LCD and a Sony DAV-550 home theatre (with the dolby sound turned off)

Hey, i am also having problems with my guitar and mine will also strum 2 times.

but i was hear to tell you that you(or your friend) most likely have some connection problems. and thats why the notes will studder.

Sorry OP, I've probably seen slowdown no more than twice in the last few months on 360. Any PS3 owners that can chime in? Perhaps it's HDMI vs. Component vs. what-have-you related?

It's not connection problems, this happens when we are playing in my house, not online, haven't tested it online yet.

The PS3 is connected to the TV with a HDMI cable

And when we played in lower difficulty (easy and medium) it was ok, now starting on Hard and the slowdowns start to appear!

I've had this happen to me while playing on the XBox version, the game froze for about the count of 2, then went again.

Are you two talking about the same thing here? One of you describes a temporary freeze and the other slowdown.

I talking about a slowdown, it appears to drop the frame rate, no freeze...

I had another game that this would happen a lot, it was almost impossible to play that was PES 2008, Konami had to release a patch to fix it, the frame rate would drop from 60 to 30fps constantly... in RB it started to happen when playing in hard difficulty, it's not constant but it happens sometimes!

Been just playing a quick solo mode singing and and a lot of slowdown issues, again in Hard difficulty... Just me Singing... can't understand this :(

mine will kind of "skip" for a very short time. almost like a record would skip. It happens maybe once every other day..

I will try to make a video of the slowdown issues I have don't know if it will be perceptive on camera but I will try, no sooner than tuesday though

I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem...

It's very frustrating... been playing some sons on Bass in expert and hard and it's a lag fest specially when a note is missed, when bass grove is on and overdrive... and gets worse when there's more than one thing going!!! :(

I will make a vid of it tomorrow to show you how it is!!! :(

I even tried to mess around with the console's definitions to see if it would make any difference but no luck!!

Now I know why I am the only one with this problem!!! :P

It was a tv setting that was messing the speed of the itens that appeared to make it "smother" so they say!!! Lammers... turned that thing off and now it works like a charm!!! :D
