Announcements are made in the ANNOUNCEMENT section every MONDAY, check then. Why do we need a new thread every week asking whats going to be DLC??

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The songs will be three songs, one or two will be bands already in the game. OR They could be a pack of one band. And there will at least one cover, or not.
I'm a genius

I'm also thinking some more Boston might be coming soon, again just a "guess"....hell they might even get crazy and release a whole album, who knows. Only time will tell......

Boston would be a very unusual choice for an album DLC. I have heard of them but i probably wouldn't recognize any of their songs on the radio.

What? You mean you never remember More Than A feeling, Peace of Mind, Dont Look Back, Smokin or Rock and Roll Band?
Oh I forgot one very important piece of info......
The songs will be from the 60s to the 00s

I'm paying no mind to Sarno, but Boston is one of the best rock bands of all time. They may not be top 10, but they are definately way up there with bands like Rush (not talent wise), Deep Purple, Cream, etc.

Boston would be a GREAT choice for DLC. Almost everybody has heard their stuff and can sing/air guitar/etc to it. You may not have heard their stuff, but most have.
And you should download their greatest hits album. It's awesome :)

It would be a good choice for maybe some song DLC's, but an album? I don't think so. They could pick a lot of better and more recognizable bands.

IDK they seem pretty recognizable to me, they have several hits.. and not to mention one of the best selling albums of all time. I don't see how a whole album (even though that is just a rumor) would not fit this game.
Also they were a pretty damn good band, and I can only think or maybe a few dozen bands who were better, but they do seem WAY easier to license... so one never knows.

Personally, I would buy a Boston Greatest Hits album DLC. Maybe not a regular release album, but we don't really know anything about HMX's album DLC yet. We can get back on this discussion after the first wave of albums come out, haha

Forget Boston! We're getting some awesome songs for next week. I bet Feb. is gonna consist of some old 60s or 70s music again that sounds like it came out of a movie from that era and is completely boring to play on guitar. Either that or we get something cool again =P

If by boring 60s & 70s guitar you mean, Page, Hendrix, Clapton, Richards, Mick Taylor, The Who, Deep Purple, and Rush, then give me some "boring" music!

Do you not realize Green Grass and High Tides and Flirtin' With Disaster are both from the 70s? Try and tell me those songs are boring. Also, if we got Free Bird (also from the 70s) try to tell me that you'll get bored during that solo with a straight face.

Probably "When I Come Around".
That would get bought, day one.
But yeah, they'll be pretty tight lipped about it, especially after the January song leak. Besides, isn't it better to not know so far in advance?

THey have one of the 10 best selling albums of all time. Considering that there aren't really many rock bands in the top 10, they fit perfectly in the popularity/rockiness/difficulty sweetspot.

Buddy Holly was released in 1994, either the music video confused you or the singer of the same name did. It is easy, but I wouldn't really consider it boring, especially those trills in the solo.
You've got a better case for Brass In Pocket, but it's still a good song.
In relation to your first comment: Foreplay/Long Time is NOT boring across all instruments and I would love to see More Than A Feeling as DLC.

Exactly, the excitement is gone. The other way it's like Christmas every Monday (or Thursday for PS3 owners like me).

Repetitive Christmas is good! Especially on weeks like Christmas when they dropped the $1.00 songs out on us! That was fun!
The only argument I have for having a DLC release chart is for gamers like me who like the DLC, but don't have money to buy more than a couple of songs a month. Knowing between this and next week, I was able to pick out "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)" and "Wonderwall" and feel good about it, rather than snapping up the Oasis pack and not know about "Ten Speed". *shrugs* just preference.

bottom line is that not every song that comes out can be good for YOUR instrument of choice. There are some songs released that I find to be boring as hell on drums, but that doesn't mean they're not fun for guitar or singing or whatever. Sometimes you gotta sacrifice for the good of the band, eh?

I think their first album was the highest selling debut of all time.
Except for maybe Micheal Jackson.

I thought this post was funny...only because Boston's debut album is the only one I can think of where EVERY song on the entire record gets played on the radio.

Help me understand: You originally condemned music from the 60s and 70s because of boring guitar work.
Then you say Weezer is the worst example. Better check your calendar because you're 20 years too late since Weezer is a 90s band.
Then you say you really do like a bunch of 60s and 70s music but conveniently forgot that Zeppelin, Hendrix, The Who, Deep Purple, and Rush are from that era?
I guess the only way to respond to your overgeneralization is to use my own:
Everyone who criticizes something they know next to nothing about is an idiot.

Flirtin' with Disaster just plain sucks and GG&HT is boring on everything but guitar. I couldn't even finish it on bass,I just quit and picked a different song. I am in favor of the 70's stuff though.
We need a DLC schedule for each month, not this day before stuff.

And I found your previous post to my earlier post to be unwarranted and inappropriate. You had no idea of the situation.
