PS3 online play problem!!!!!

OK, I can't get online with my PS3. I have a wireless router...I think :o. When I scan for it on the PS3, it says it doesn't detect it. I have Road Runner, and the ARRIS router thing. Is that gonna work without an ethernet cable? I'm so confused!

If you know address for your router, then check it on your PC, then look if it has wireless capabilities. I'm not familiar with your brand name router. Also you can always call your ISP tech support to give you a hand. That's what my brother did and he found out that his router wasn't wireless, he had to get a new one.

Well, I'm starting to think mine isn't wireless either. Since, well, there's wires coming out of it and hooking up to the computer. I heard about Linksys routers. Are they good....and cheap?

A Linksys wireless router will do the trick and they are fairly cheap...you might want to get someone else to set it up for you if you don't even know if you have wireless now or not. You do know that the PS3 can be connect wired or wireless right?

This is just one, you could likely be able to find cheaper ones. But shouldn't your ISP be obligated to provided with a wireless router? at least that's how it works with my ISP.

yes but that would require drilling a hole in the ceiling and getting a cable long enough to reach my computer :D.
