Mostly a fan of no-frills rock, but there are plenty of good Prog Rock bands.
My favorites are Pink Floyd, Kansas, and Rush, in that order.
My favorite epic song from each band is Dogs, The Pinnacle, and 2112.
My favorite shorter songs are Hey You, Child of Innocence, and Freewill.

at least 3 of those aren't real prog but nice call on opeth :D
and to the guy with the in the court of the crimson king avy, would i be safe in assuming that that's your favorite kc album??
also if the lot of you guys like real beer and progressive music you can go to erksylvania.com/forums. we got tons of awesome progz for u to d/l and a lot of beer snobs that u can talk beer with
but anyway my favorite prog epics have to be 2112 (rush), close to the edge (yes), starless (king crimson), and echoes (pink floyd.
my favorite prog albums are selling england by the pound (genesis), red (king crimson), aqualung (tull), close to the edge (yes), animals by floyd, and 2112 by rush.

I guess I don't know what true prog is... I'm more into metal, hence all the bands I listed are considered "prog metal". I've never heard of any of those bands, other than King Crimson.

yes, I've requested Rush and Yes, actually. the two songs I'd love to see in one of the games is La Villa Strangiato by Rush and either Roundabout or the Gates of Delirium by Yes (not holding my breath on Gates, though. I cant imagine too many people being pumped to play a 20 minute song).
some King Crimson would be nice too.
and yeah, prog rock is probably my favourite genre of music.

even tho Battle Axe doesn't consider them as such, Dream Theater is my fave prog band
I would kill to get Metropolis pt 2: Scenes from a Memory as DLC
and if I had to pick one song, it'd have to be Home.

Dream Theater and Rush are probably my two favorite bands. Saw them last week at the Hollywood Bowl and the Gibson. Had second and third row seats to them respectively ^_____________________^.

If Dream Theater aren't prog, nothing is.
