Change ownership of band?

I recently decided to change my character's play style from Goth to Metal, but in order to do that, I had to make a new guy and delete the old one. However, the old one was the leader of the band and now that he's gone, so is the band, right? That's what I figured, but when I tried to put my new character in the band of the same title, it is still saying that the band is in use already.

How do I put a new leader into a band that was in use, but isn't actually in use any more? Is there something I have to do on the site or what?

you are out of luck, that band is now defunct. you can't change the leader of the band. and since you deleted that player, the band is gone too. you can delete bands but you cannot create a new band with the same name. that name is gone for good.

It's a shame band leader isn't done by Xbox account instead of by a certain avatar. I don't mind that one instrument always has to be in play, I just wish I could change the band leader to a different character, or have the game let me any character, so long as my Xbox account is still the band leader.

It's something I think should be fixed via patch if it's possible... but I think there are bigger issues for HMX to deal with for now.

Actually, having my bands gone forever when I delete them and being unable to change band leaders has been the most irritating issue for me. I don't like that some character data is locked either, especially their style, which a real musician can change. But that didn't ever irritate me as much as the band issues. I do love the game, though!
