two things, first white stripes is pretty doubtful for this game, because they only have one guitar and no bass. and second, i would pick a different alexisonfire song. the one you picked was good, but the guitar/bass is pretty boring. i would go with Drunks, Lovers, Sinners, And Saints.

You're right about the WS, but I don't care. The guitar would be fun enough for me ;)

And bass is pretty much always gonna be the lamest instrument to play unless you got a bass god on the track.

Joker and the Thief is an awesome song. I can (sort of) play it on real guitar. It'd be lots of fun to play.

they could get a cover band to do some WS songs and add a bass line if they really wanted to get some WS in the game. I would buy.

Some white stripes songs have 2 guitar tracks, so they COULD just offer a second guitar track.

'Black Math', 'Ball And Biscuit' and a few others would be pretty fun.

For sure they could think something up. They have a sick library (WS) and not even GH has managed to get a track though. But that wasn't my point anyway. The bass comment was more about Alexisonfire.

I would think it would be fine to have a few tracks, particularly for the DLC, that didn't use all four of the instruments--I mean, I would prefer to play the drums, but wouldn't feel too upset if there were some songs that didn't have any. As long as the main song list caters to all of them, no reason there couldn't be some optional DLC that doesn't use all the instruments, as long as enough people want them to justify licensing, encoding, etc.

I'll go even further, and say I wouldn't object to a song in the base game that didn't have my favored instrument in it, as long as the disc still gives me and mine enough value. I would view it very similarly to a song that I just didn't like, which I'm sure there will by, differing tastes being what they are.

I'm for making as many people happy as possible, and I don't believe it is a zero-sum game where if a song is released that I don't want for some reason, my life gets worse.
