View Full Version : Great, someone broke my guitar. Does warranty still apply?

To cut a story short, I had a cousin of mine broke my Stratocaster. He stepped on the cord while standing up, causing the cord to undergo a violent yank. The cord is still connected, but the guitar itself is dead. It doesn't power on like it used to.

Now I'm afraid that my warranty replacement will be denied as I can easily imagine that my situation constitutes as misuse or abuse.

What are my options?

Warranty won't really know (even after your forum post since they don't associate your forum user name with anything else). Also warranty is pretty lenient in light of two facts:

1. Their guitars have had widespread problems
2. You cannot buy a replacement

Go RMA the sucker, Express if you can afford it.
