So Sean, any truth to this story? Yes or No will work, but a "maybe so" might have to do. And it's not so much the Wii info, it's the bundle/pricing info. Of course, pricing is contingent on the production cost of the peripherals and the bundles, instruments, etc....

$150 will be £150 pounds in England, so as normall we will get ripped off.

$150 isn't much considering what's in the package.

Next gen game + wireless guitar + drums + mic > $150

I'd rather everything be solid and durable, especially the drum module cause I'm most certainly going to beat the snot out of that thing. Keeping the cost down is always good, but if it's a piece of garbage then why bother, ya know?

Well that certainly is the ultimate question in consumer products, price versus quality.

They could probably make a fairly sturdy machine for a low price, I mean it is not the most complex machinary, it is a couple of oversized buttons. It seems like the most expensive they would do would be to take the route of Drum Mania and just allow a midi drumkit to act as the controller.

I can't really comment on anything like that. I can say (again) that we haven't set the prices yet so if you see any rumors about prices they are exactly that - rumors. When we know what the prices are going to be we will let you know.

My cure for problems such as this is to set my standards exceedingly low. So that no matter what the price is I am happy!

Remember kids, always have low standards, that is how I got my wife.

Granted its good quality and all that jazz, I think we would all be willing to pay $150 for the entire package without question. It presumably means we would be getting the guitar, mic, and drums for a mere $90, with the game at the $59.99 pricepoint.

Also think about HOW people are going to be buying this. There's a good chance that if a full package is offered, groups of people could be splitting the cost (most likely if say they live together as roomies or are basically constantly gaming together). Idk, I think group purchases are something to at least keep in mind with a product like this.

For the full package (again, granted good quality, blah blah) I think $200 is certainly reasonable. Good quality peripherals aren't normally cheap to begin with and it would mean that, dividing the cost equally, we'd be getting them for a little under $50 each (with the game again at a 59.99 pricepoint). For example, good arcade sticks are incredibly hard to find. Most of the ones you see for sale in retail stores are crap (crappy buttons, bad response, etc.). If you're playing games like Street Fighter seriously (tournaments & general high skill playing), you need to have a great stick to guarantee execution of moves/combos/etc. I'm about to spend $120 on one just for this purpose (PIC HERE if ya wanna see (http://media.teamxbox.com/dailyposts/xarcade_dual_1.jpg)). Playing on a crappy stick is incredibly frustrating so I'm buying this high-quality stick. In the same vein, playing RB on a crappy drumset periph. would most likely be equally frustrating so I'm willing to pay some money for a good/high-quality one. If I can actually get away with spending just $50 for a good quality drum periph., I'll be jumping with joy (I say drum and not guitar b/c the quality of the guitar periph is already proven).

Moreso, if the full package is $200, it means we could expect each separate package (game+1 inst) to probably be less than $100 with the exception of the drums package possibly topping out at $99.99. Consumers have already accepted the pricepoint of 79.99/89.99 for GH2+Guitar so it then becomes a standard marketing standpoint. "Get the full package, save more overall. Buy separately, still a great price."

My thought: $200 is a great buy for the full package

(I thought about some other stuff to say but it was getting too long, haha)

EDIT A FEW DAYS LATER: Changed "save less overall" to "save more overall", lol.

For $200, a game and four accessories is not a big deal. I would have expected it to be more. How many people are going to be going that route anyhow?

Going Which route?

Then I will be going that route. Not because I am rich, but because I am a consumer whore.

Yeah actually I will too. Not because of whoring or anything but because it will probably be cheaper in the end
