Who all gets platinum artist

So before I invest the time, who all gets platinum artist status? Is it the original band members or only the ones playing at the time, and do substitutes get it?

I belive only the ones that are playing during the set and everyone has to be on Expert.

yup .. just the ones playing. i have it only for guitar and bass.... singing and drums on expert it going to be insane.
