Apparently the guitars for PS3 are wireless, while the guitars for Xbox are wired, but nothing has been fully confirmed yet. I would say most likely, the only things that have a chance of being wireless are the guitars. The mic isn't wireless, it actually connects into the controller.

well i guess if they wanted 2 they could have the mic wireless 2..just have someting like how the wireless headset 4 the xbox

Who confirmed the game is finished?

There was a brief interview where Alex said the game is mostly complete and they are working on bugs and polish. While this is good news and means the game will almost certainly ship on time, don't underestimate the time it takes to do a proper job tracking down and removing bugs.

How close is Rock Band to completion, and what major things remain to be done?

All of the major systems are complete. As is normally the case in beta, there's plenty of bug-fixing to be done, finishing off of various details, and lots of play-testing, polishing and tuning. We're dying to cross the finish line and get this thing out into the world!

well if you look at the picture of the strat at rockband.com, there is no cord where the cord should be. And there is also the XBOX button, so the XB360 guitar may be wireless. I say may because anything can change while making a game. If anyone is wondering about PS3, I am sure that if the XB360 has wireless controllers, then the PS3 will too.

Plus, if you read on the official website, HMX says that RB will support any 3rd party controllers. So I'll bet if the Strats aren't wireless, we'll have tons of wireless 3rd party controllers to choose from.

I seriously hope the 360 guitar will be wireless, or that will be majorly disapointing considering GH3 WILL have wireless guitars.

I'd like to see the guitars wireless for 360 because of the limited USB slots but an instruments an instrument (well, controller in this case). But about the release date, im not fussed. Im still buying Rock Band, no questions asked. So i dont really mind when it comes out, just not too long i suppose

and im guessing everything else will be wireless since they have about 3 months to finish the already finished game

Also note the guitar has been tweaked since E3.

With that I predict release to be unchanged to be safe. It's obvious they're tweaking things to perfection and to meet with community standards as mentioned in this weeks GI Online interview.

Guitars are wireless/wired depending on you preferance/cost restrictions. Drums are wired only.

I can wait until November. If Harmonix takes their time to fix the bugs, tweak the interface, make the online experience awesome, and playtest the hell out of this thing this game will last me a long, long time.

I'm pretty sure there was a USB hub mentioned, so it's only taking one of your USB slots

On the website that is exactly what happened to the 360 GH2 Guitar they thought it was wireless but bam it wsn't.

Well if the mic plugs into the controler (as it does) than you only need two.

I was thinking today about how if rock band came out early november, like the 6th, it would be huge. GH3 doesnt come out until october 28th, so thats only like 4-5 days head start. Here's to hoping HMX is ahead of schedule!

i read in the July issue of GI that all guitars are wireless im not sure about the drums or the mic but i guess it would be handy and reduce clutter for them to be wireless too, i mean incase u are going to have all 4 players cramped in the same room(get ready youtube) And if your wondering about a usb hub, if one isnt made for rock band, reviews say ones for cpus work too
