I agree with the Gibson SG. I love the way it looks. That's why I bought it to begin with =P. luckily it's an awesome guitar that I love to play.

One I've been looking at lately is the ESP LTD Viper 1000. Been wanting to try it lately but it's always out of stock.

I love the way the body looks:

I own a squier and honestly its not nearly as bad as they are made out to be. Deinatly not fender quality, but it plays pretty good.

I dont like the look of Strats or anything that even remotely resembles them, the only Fender guitar that looks cool to me is a Telecaster.

I hate Flying V's because I dont live in a trailer park.

SG's have been ruined for me by that hack angus young.

I used to hate Explorers and Firebirds but they have since grown on me.

but for my money the Les Paul is ****ing sexy. curvy like a woman and all the greats have played them. they are the most asthetically pleasing guitar for me.

I agree with this statement, but SG's have been redeemed for me by Clapton's Fool SG.

Others I like:
Firebird
Doubleneck Acoustic (http://www.doolinguitars.com/double.html#)
Jack White's guitar (Anyone know what it is?)
Strat, but only sunburst and black.
Epiphone Casino, yet again, only in sunburst.
Les Paul

Also:
Hofner Bass
Mandolin, any and all

I have to say I just dig the telecaster (Fender or G&L, but I prefer G&L), look and sound. Not the most rockingest out there, but pretty darn versatile... which suits my tastes.

He uses a number of guitars.
This is straight from Wiki,

Musical equipment and sound

Jack White uses numerous effects to create his powerful live sound, most notably a Digitech Whammy IV to create the rapid modulations in pitch he uses in his solos.[20] The guitars he uses live are two 1964 JB Hutto Montgomery Airlines, a Harmony Rocket, a 1970s-era Crestwood Astral II, 1950s-era Kay Hollowbody, and a Gretsch White Penguin (as seen in the music video for "Icky Thump"). When playing with the Raconteurs, White usually plays a custom Gretsch Triple Jet guitar. In concert with an MXR Micro-Amp and Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Distortion/Sustainer, White can produce a very distinctive sound. In 2005, for the single "Blue Orchid", White employed the use of a new Electro-Harmonix creation, the Polyphonic Octave Generator (POG). Similar to (but more versatile than) the Whammy IV, the POG lets the user mix in several octave effects into one along with the dry signal. All of the pedals that he uses live have been professionally painted red to match his red/black/white color scheme (with the exception of his Whammy and the other pedals that are already red). He plugs this setup into a 1970s Fender Twin Reverb and two 100-Watt Sears Silvertone 6x10 combo amplifiers.[21]

White also produces a "fake" bass tone by playing the Kay Hollowbody and JB Hutto Montgomery Airline guitars through a Whammy IV set to one octave down for a very thick, low, rumbling sound, which he uses most notably on the songs "Seven Nation Army" and "The Hardest Button to Button".[20][22]

On occasion, White also plays other instruments, such as a Black Gibson F-4 mandolin ("Little Ghost"), piano (on most tracks from Get Behind Me Satan, and various others), electric piano on such tracks as "The Air Near My Fingers" and "I'm Finding it Harder to be a Gentleman" in which he used a Rhodes Mark II stage piano. White also plays percussion instruments such as the marimba (as on "The Nurse"), drums, tambourine and ney. On Broken Boy Soldiers, he is credited as playing the album's synths and organ however bandmate Brendan Benson also received credit for these instruments and it is unclear who played on which song. White uses a Moog Little Phatty synthesizer on his current tour.

White plays his barre and power chords with a different technique than most musicians. Instead of using his ring finger to fret the higher notes, Jack uses his pinky. This is because of a car accident in which his left index finger was injured and also the fact that his (guitar playing) brothers would never teach him the proper way to do so, which he explains in an appearance with the Raconteurs on the show In the Attic.

On most live performances White uses an Airline 2P Deluxe.

Eh, I have a warlock. It was one of my first guitars. It's really garbage. The sound is really muffled all the time, no matter what setting I have the guitar/amp on. Not worth the buy. Just save up for something else. Although, it has good sound for palm muting. So I guess it's a DECENT metal guitar.

well, from what i heard all you need with warlocks are new pickups, because the ones it comes with suck. but if you get the pickups replaced, the guitar can be badass.

Yeah, I was new at guitar when I got the Warlock. But as I got tons better, I bought an SG, and then I got some new pickups for that. So I never really bothered to make the warlock any better.

Well what alot of people don't realize when buying a guitar is that 80% of the time something isn't right. There are some fixes that will need to be made when you first pick it up. Strings to be changed, ****ty pickups, action is too high. On my guitar I got it and the neck was slightly bowed, easy fix but still needs to made.

The Les Paul

Its so gerat to look at! I have a Bandit LP1, which is basically a cheap ass knock off [though not cheap £179.99] and it looks great and plays even better. It sit comfortably when im sitting down playing it, when im standing up its great to play as well. Only problem i have with it is that it weighs a tonne. No clue why, but my mates Bass is fricking lighter, as is my brothers Epiphone SG.

I stand buy it, my first electric =D. Im never getting rid of it....EVER!
