I was reading the features of the bundle and the first thing it says is that it comes with a wired guitar, microphone, and drumset. now how can somebody do wireless internet if all the usb ports are taken by the instruments and there is no room for the wireless adapter?
 this is forcing gamers to either buy a wireless guitar, spending an extra $80.00 just so they can play on xbox live

I HIGHLY doubt it will be wired, they just labeled it such because of rumors. If they said it was wireless but it ended up wired they could face some heat.

If it is wired, then you could use this.

almost every single source has said 360 WIRED while ps3 WIRELESS.

can we get some confirmation on this Sean?

it's annoying to see it and not be sure, but every source is showing this. I really hope it isn't true. Wireless is the way to be!

The 360 needs an adaptor to go wireless? Crap, that sucks.

No I was wondering if the 360 came with built-in wireless or if you needed to buy an adaptor. He made it seem like you can't just take your 360 out of the box and look for a wireless signal.

I thought the Bundle was game, two guitars, drums and mic? Now its one guitar (better be wireless), drums and mic? I can't wait till Harmonix announces the pricing and wheter guitars will be wired or not.

well, theres no point in putting in two strats if for the bass part the effect switch+extra 5 frets are useless. plus, it would be raping the money of all the people who already have an xplorer controller.

No. That's convience. This is Microsoft.

I just use my old Xbox adapter. It picks up signals that the 360 one doesn't sometimes. They go for like $50 I think. I'll check for ya.

I'm pretty positive that the controller will be WIRED because GHIII had to from what I've heard pretty much blow Microsoft to get the licensing and such for the wireless Les Paul, and I don't think that Microsoft is willing enough to give the stuff to Harmonix too. The Les Paul is the first third-party wireless peripheral yet.

$40. Grab the original Xbox adapter. Way better deal.

Umm, the mic, although wired, plugs into the normal controller... which is wirless.

I'd rather have it wired anyway. That way the battery won't crap out on me while I'm playing.

And I thought the $30 Nintendo wifi adaptor (which you don't need unless your college campus won't let your Nintendo systems to connect) was expensive...

True, but it would be a better value. I do have the Xplorer, which would be fine for bass, but I was under the impression it came with 2 guitars. I guess it does make sense, I mean it would be pretty expensive to include all that stuff.

almost every single source has said 360 WIRED while ps3 WIRELESS.

On the SomethingAwful forums, Harmonix has confirmed that 360 will have both wired and wireless guitars. Clearly, the wireless will be a more expensive SKU.

On the XBox forums, Harmonix has strongly implied that regardless of what people think they saw on the Gamespot Video, this is not how the mic is going to work in the final deliverable.

For the love of God, please don't make the bundle w/ all instruments have the wired guitar. That's ridiculous. It totally destroys the value of the bundle. Assuming the guitar in the bundle has a separate MSRP of $59.99, the bundle would save us $30 over buying everything separately. So if we want everything, the bundle would save us $30. If a wireless guitar is going to cost $79.99, just up the price of the bundle so we don't lose that $30 by buying everything separately. Better yet, just show those wanting to fully commit to your product some appreciation and include the wireless in the bundle.

People want to pre-order this now, but throwing a wired controller in what's supposed to be a "special bundle" is really a pretty crappy situation for the customer. Why have a bundle if there's no incentive for the customer to buy it? It it's wired, it's actually less incentive to buy the bundle, and also makes it less likely they'll fully invest in the Rock Band "platform".

Also if it's wired, people , like myself, who pre-orderd the bundle already so we won't be screwed in case there are hardware shortages, will end up actually getting screwed.
