Okay I finally caved in, did some digging, and came up with a setlist I totally dig. My goal was to have a little bit of everything, a whole lot of something, and more. I chose to do songs, both career and unlockable and tackle a years worth of album downloads.

Career Songs
First I realize some are covers but I don't care. The artist did the songs well and they just happen to be the versions I like very much. I realize I am lacking in a few genres so any help is appreciated. Lastly I am not doing a era specific list but I added decades to make things look neater.

Did alot of research and found some cool stuff. Took three days but I think it was worth it. If you're unfamiliar with anything I may give you a link if you PM me or e-mail you it or something. I would link a download next to the song but Rock Band forum rules don't allow it.

_________
So there it is. I just don't know what the reaction will be. I liked it and had a good time putting it together. Like I said it took three days scribbling down songs and bands, researching, and narrowing it down. Plus the unlockables.
Suggestions, comments, and constructive crticisms are welcome. Dunno when or if I will be able to edit because I use my PSP browser alot but here it is. And if your band/song/album/idea/guitar playing possum didn't make the list and I just don't like it tough it's not going in. This is XZYLIAC'S Noise. Your setlist is for your songs. Too many people around here get pissed because they can't get what they want on someone else's setlist.
God this is long. Let me shut up now and hope to God I don't burned.

Honestly I am not well trained before the 70s. Trying but just find myself going back to the 70s without thinking. I tried man. I really did.

some decent stuff, but you couldnt include a 311 song for your bandmate?
FAIL.
the best parts of your list are the DLC albums.

Thanks. I tried to learn from the other threads so I wouldn't burn. Well so far so good.
You know I had 311 on the brain until I started listening to Van Halen and it slipped my mind. Whoops. Teehee.

also kid a would be horrible in rock band. electronics =/= guitar, bass, drums.
yes i know those instruments are prominent in that album but come on ?? the best song on that album is most definitely idioteque, but what will the guitarist do during that song??
kid a is probably my 3rd favorite albom ever by the way so dont' be offended :D

well for a videogame where you play instruments i would say obviously something from earlier in their career. ok computer would be great cuz while it has its songs where the guitar isn't the prominent instrument it is definitely more guitar orriented than kid a, amnesiac, or hail to the theif. but if you're just looking for a great radiohead album to listen to kid a is the one :D

Okay how about The Bends?

well the fact is all of radiohead's albums are great, but for a game like rock band pablo honey, the bends, and ok computer are the only albums that will really deliver since the others are too electronic to work.

Kashmir - Led Zepplin
Good song, poor choice for Rock Band. The guitar is insanely repetitive, which is bad enough, but is awful in an 8-minute song. The drums are all right, but there are much better in Zep songs, and the vocals are similarly nice but nothing special.
Go for:
Seventies
The Song Remains the Same (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztfd7eddBbQ)
Rock and Roll (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6nmJjXM8wk)
Sixties
Communication Breakdown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiL1sjGIcew)
or Good Times Bad Times (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UskcGA1rUUs)
Also, to recommend a "few" other songs:
Sixties
Viva Las Vegas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O9DXxfsYtE) - Elvis Presley
All Day and All of the Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4DV-5d6a5g) - The Kinks
Subterranean Homesick Blues (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srgi2DkDbPU) - Bob Dylan
Over, Under, Sideways, Down (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQhnkREYtAc) - The Yardbirds
Lucifer Sam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwOF5tK34Q0) - Pink Floyd
Revolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsxBSXWqH4c) - The Beatles
Green River (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHsGg_Qy5u8) - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Gimme Shelter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsFKbKk22SU) - The Rolling Stones
Seventies
25 or 6 to 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSOaoPDO16Y) - Chicago
Woodstock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnVn7vkFHbI) - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young
Art of Dying (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgleColDNpw) - George Harrison
Roundabout (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xql99I1VSdI) - Yes
Child of Innocence (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I44xJLn20hA) - Kansas
Rock 'n Roll Band (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqEr99Z-DYM) - Boston

I'll give them a listen. Thanks.
Just out of curiosity what do you think about the whole thing?

Except for the Led Zeppelin choice, everything is either a good choice or something I haven't heard yet.
Well, Chinese Democracy is kind of a wtf choice because we don't know how good it will be.
Appetite for Destruction or Use Your Illusion I/II would probably be better, although CD may end up blowing them out of the water.

Harmonix said they wanted to be able to release DLC day and date with new albums so I wanted at least two 08 albums. GnR and Green Day.
