For asking this question ...

Will there be more clothing and hair styles available as downloadable content? My wife has been bugging me about asking for a week, and is clearly too lazy to sign up for the forum herself but not too lazy to screech at me like a fashion crazed Pteradactyl.

I swear my brother-in-law and I will sit there for like 30 minutes watching them trying to find the perfect tint of $@@#$@# sea foam for their characters.

Some excerpts from a typical night of Rockband:

"Owww I like that ... damn it doesn't come in the shade of yellow I would want ... Why wouldn't that have the right shade of yellow?"
"You are in QA honey, why do they not have bicolor tinting for every hair style?"
"Can we just play the $@@#@#@#$ song honey? (Answer) I just want to pick out a new tint of lipstick..."
"I wish there was a money cheat like in the sims, so I could actually by that pretty top they have in the Goth area..."

And yes this all coming out of the mouth of a 35 year old woman.

i'm not sure if there's been an official announcement about adding hair styles, clothing, accessories, etc as DLC.. i'm sure it's POSSIBLE but i just don't know if harmonix has anything like that planned.. i'd say just tell your wife "no" and to get back to rocking out so she can earn her money for clothes the hard way :cool:

So far the devs have been against it due to the complications of online play with people who don't own the clothing pack and the limitations of keeping it HDD free.

My wife and I have an informal contest going on who can design the hottest character, and I'm not sure which of us is more obsessed with making hair, makeup and clothes come out juuussstttt right.

I do have the advantage though, since I'm far better at designing tattoos than she is.

LMAO! it the same way when i play with my cousin and her fiance. we end up waiting anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes watching her pick out her outfit and getting her makeup right. we either end up falling asleep or her fiance just ends up not being in the mood to play anymore so it ruins our night.


i wish they would add a piercing section to this game like they have with tattoos cuz i have 18 piercings, 8 being on my face and id like to be able to at least put a couple of them on my character

I have a couple characters who use those, just because I had nothing better to spend the money on, and those rings are the only ones really noticable from a distance. Looks good in red.

To be fair I spend a lot of time on the tattoo editor. I just don't do it when we have a living room full of people ready to rock.

The funny thing is that when we first got the game, my girlfriend, my male roommate and I would play it together and on the second day, me and my roommate decided that we needed to make our band a "glam" band (the likes of which of Montreal and David Bowie have never seen). When my girlfriend started getting annoyed because we were taking too long, I knew we were getting to into it and we had to stop. Still, my drummer is decked out in pink which I can't help but giggle at.

Yeah I love seeing them on stage, and blue looks good too. I have a red one on Goose (guitar), a blue one on Iceman (drums), and I'm planning on creating Maverick (vocals) and giving him a black one :D

:D LMAO :D I have the same EXACT problem with my boyfriend! My character is bare bones out of the box except for her name...but he spends hours at a time dressing putting on face paint and tattooing and re-tattooing! I swear I end up crying from sheer boredom!!!

I like dorking around in the Rock Shop myself. For some reason, though, I just can't change my rocker's hairstyle from the Lolita - nothing else looks as good to me. That, and with the Librarian glasses, she has the Tina Fey look going on, which I'm a fan of. :)
