with all due respect, spinal tap is not a reach. if you look at the niche songs on rb/gh2, this isn't a horrible thing to ask for. spinal tap songs have a full band, so i don't see the big problem. is it because it's hokey? like much of the 80's metal?

i respond to this not as a huge fan of tap, but just in questioning why bands have to be "real"?
do you count the monkees as a "real" band?

Not only that, but wasn't there a statement somewhere in which it was said that the possibility of dwelling into video game music would probably also be possbile for RockBand? So I don't see why Spinal Tap wouldn't be possible.
