I need a new challenge in this line of simulation. This is my list to add on top of the other songs already listed. (I'm not gonna bother listing other songs already announced.)
Feel free to debate with me how you feel about my list, and if you have any disagreements or agreements. I'm trying to cover an bias free list (meaning I'm not just picking my favorite songs).
Songs:
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Been previously noted many times. I couldn't think of a better Beatles song to add, personally.
Yes - Roundabout - Another great classic with a good use of all instruments. Good and active bass part. The only thing that could go great with this song is a Keyboard controller (yeah, I know. >_>).
The Who - Eminence Front - Rock Band already has a huge and good serving of The Who, so I feel a bit bad recommending another one. But this song was the biggest hit off their album in the 80s "It's Hard". It's a very feel good song, almost captures it's own feeling. Feels like it'd be an amazing song to have in Rock Band.
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train - Yeah, I know this song is almost 'desired' a little too much. I don't know why it hasn't been included but I think it'd be a perfect demonstration of metal in the 80s.
Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde - When we see Megadeth demanded in games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, it's always the hardcore songs. Why not a ballad? I think Dave Mustaine makes a damn good ballad. A Tout Le Monde being a perfect example.
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper - I've seen this song mentioned before, but not as widely as I think it deserves. Dream Theater practically defined progressive metal. They earned ranks high amongst Rush very quickly. This song is off the album that really got them off the ground: "Images & Words".
Album:
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory - This follows the song I listed above except in separate parts. The reason I think this album would be perfect is because it follows a story (concept album. :D), is long, and has good work for all instruments as well as Vocals.
Not too many suggestions. I didn't wanna be like "DRAGONFORCE ME NEED." If they add a Dragonforce song, thats cool, but if they don't, whatever. It's completely fine by me.
I think Dream Theater really needs some recognition here. Their music is absolutely stunning and I really can't express how awesome I think it'd be to have them in Rock Band. Come on Harmonix, give a fan his dream!
Now for the feedback! What do you guys think?

I still have to defend Dream Theater being in the game. Even if you don't like them, you can recognize how much they innovated Progressive Metal. Not every band just gets an orchestra to play with them, you need to have a bit of recognition for that.
Rock Band is about recognizing all kinds of Rock, right? Progressive Metal should fit right in, and what better way to show it off then the Band that pioneered it?

except they didn't pioneer it and they're not progressive????
but thats not the point i didnt' mean to make this thread into the millionth dream theater thread. but yes i do agree with you *most* genres should be represented in rb and yes while i do hate dream theater i guess a cover song of one of their songs (maybe pull me under since its one of the few i still enjoy) wouldn't be THAT horrible. as long as its cover since i'm sure someone can do a better job than james i'm-a-woman labrie :D:D:D:D

Please don't flame my musical taste. I'm sure I could fun of a band you liked just as easily. >_>
Also, DT is progressive metal just like I said: DT Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_Theater)
Anyone else have any comments?

just cuz wiki says it is doesn't mean it is. and i wasn't flaming YOU bro, i was flaming dt :D rush pioneered progressive metal by the way.
about scenes from a memory idk when i think dlc albums i think of albums that have less fillers and more guitar oriented songs. i haven't listened to scenes in a while but i remember songs being like a minute or two with the narrator therapist guy or whatever putting the main character to sleep or something, and some piano songs as well. again i haven't heard dt in a long time cuz of my obvious distaste for them but i'd say a better dlc album by them would be images & words

Rush pioneered Progressive ROCK. There's a difference between progressive ROCK and progressive METAL. >_>
As for DLC, I chose Scenes From a Memory because it was a concept album and a very well known one in Progressive Metal. Their best "guitar" oriented DLC would either be Systematic Chaos, Images & Words, or Train of Thought.
Good choices, I would love to play on some of those.
Thanks. My biggest one on there is Eminence Front, almost a spiritual Who song on its own. As Pete Townshed described the song during a concert, "This song is what happens when you take too much white powder." XD
