It says $199 for the game, wired guitar, mic, and drums.
Is this the real price? Do you get anything else with the special edition?

Amazon has had this listing for months. It's no different than GameStop's preorder listings.

Harmonix hasn't released any info on the official price yet. There's a few videos where they say "We're still thinking of a real price, but let's just say you'll be suprised" or something to that nature. I can pretty much guarantee that isnt the official price. Maybe higher, maybe lower. No one knows.

Whether or not it's the real price on Amazon doesn't matter. If you preorder it at that price, they will not charge you more for it. If it drops, you will get the lower price. I preordered mine at Gamestop.com with next day so I can get it the day it comes out, but I also placed an order at Amazon.com in case the price goes up. I'll cancel whichever one I need to before it comes out. I would just stick with Amazon, but sometimes they don't get games til a few days after they come out, and I won't be able to wait longer than a day - unless the bundle price jumps up $50 or more.
If you don't mind waiting up to a week extra for it, I would order it on Amazon. Guitar Hero II for 360 shipped on release date, but I cancelled my Forza preorder because after waiting a few days, they showed the release date being a few weeks later. Then 2 more days later, they actually had it, but I had already been playing for 2 days. Just trying to help anyone who can't decide where to preorder it.

Well, if that's true then I might as well go ahead and cancel my Amazon order I mentioned above. But I'll hold out til the price is official before cancelling one of my preorders. If I had the money, I wouldn't mind having 2 of each instrument for parties, but that would just be ridiculous.
Edit: Sorry for the back to back posts.

FYI, pre-ordering in-store does not lock you in at a final price, as the final price is not listed anywhere on the pre-order receipt. If you pre-order at a retail store, you'll pay the price that's in the system at release date when you check out. They can't guarantee you a final price until the game is released. If you order on-line, however, they can't charge you any more than what was processed as your final charge at the time of purchase.
