Am I the only lefty that play Any Guitar (GH/RB/Real) as a righty and think playing a lefty guitar is very hard to play...?
My right fingers arent movable/flexible as my left so I cant.

Yeah. I'm a lefty but I fail horribly on lefty mode.

LOL. My only answer to this is "What the hell am I doing here. I don't belong here."

I'm an interesting case, I think.
I write left-handed, so I suppose I am a leftie. However, all my other motor skills require my right hand--catching anything, playing keyboard, playing (real) bass, bowling...
I can't stand Leftie Mode in Rock Band, so I play my guitar like everyone else.

I'm right-handed, but I play guitar and pool as if I was left-handed, for some reason.
One of my friends is left-handed, but plays guitar right-handed.

I play lefty mode on drums but play with my right foot, same way with real drums. I play open handed (left hand lead) on a right handed drumset.

The only thing I can do right handed is play guitar (real or fake)

I was originally lefty when i first learned how to play guitar(real) in grade 10, but taught myself how to play righty as i was just starting out(only played for 2weeks before changing, this was due to having no lefty guitars in class and teacher being too lazy to restring them)

I dunno if this counts but I switch between lefty and righty on drums to keep both of my hands up to speed.

I know quite a few lefties who do a lot of things right-handed, at least technology related. Most lefties I know use a computer mouse right handed, and my friend the leftie was having trouble being good with the Nintendo Wii remote and nunchuk, holding it in her left hand, and I suggested she hold it the way a rightie would, and it helped out a lot, weirdly enough. She also does guitar rightie, and I think she's better than I am, because her dominant hand is the one doing the complex button pressing.

My brother is left-handed and he plays righty. He's not a creep, but he's definitely a weirdo!
What the hell is he doing here? He doesn't belong here!
Well, actually, he kind of does. XD

I'm a lefty, and I play guitar right-handed. Coincidentally, I used to play in a band of which all four members were left-handed, but we all played right-handed instruments.

I don't get it. Are you implying that all the lefties here are actually ambidextrous? Because I cannot play guitar left-handed. I know right-handed people who can play lefty guitar better than I can.
I'm extremely left hand dominant and play RB guitar right hand style because my right's completely useless for anything more complex than strumming and/or whammy bar work.

I don't think that's what he's implying. most lefties aren't what would be classified as ambidexterous. with that said, most lefties have more ambidexterous tendencies than most righties. of further note, most lefties are also more apt at multitask hand eye coordination while righties are more apt a single hand eye coordination tasks.
I personally know a thing or two about ambidexterity. I was just curious what the wikipedia article had to do with the conversation. It seems that when it comes to guitar, whether you play left-handed or right-handed has little do do with which hand you write with, but that doesn't make you ambidextrous.

I'm similar to an earlier poster. I'm a natural lefty and I write and throw with my left hand, however I bat, play guitar, eat, shoot, golf and whatever else with my right. Atleast I know I'm not the only weirdo here.

I'm right handed... I played through GH3's career on lefty switch for the achievement and it wasn't really too difficult. NO FC's or anything but I wasn't really ever at risk of failing. Mind you this was on medium difficulty but still.

I'm left-handed but I play guitar right-handed. I tried it lefty the first time I played GH and didn't see any difference, so it's easier to learn and play the "normal" way.
Sometimes it's a benefit for a lefty to do right-handed tasks. I use the mouse in my right hand so for all the years I was at a desk job I could write with one hand and use the computer with the other while talking on the phone.
And some things you just can't use well left-handed. Can openers, combination locks... anyone remember telephones with dials?

My style of play exactly on a real kit. My right foot is better than my left, but I could never lead with my right hand.
On guitar for RB, I play rightie simply because of the whammy bar and effects switch's location. I tried lefty and kept smacking it with my hand so I learned rightie.

I myself am right-handed but I can only play guitar lefty. To me it feels so uncomfortale to try holding the guitar as a rightie however I did get the hendrix achievement in GH3, but that was SO uncomfortable.

I play RB and GH lefty with no lefty flip. Whenever I play guitar, I play righty because my dad said he won't change the strings.
I have a friend who is nothing but lefty and he plays RB right handed.

I'm left handed and play right-handed simply because the controller for the first Guitar Hero didn't really support left-handed very well. Sure, there was a lefty flip, but you would have had to play without a strap and with the whammy bar getting in the way at the top.
I really don't see how it was decided. Unless there's a significant difference with real guitar, it seems like a left-handed person would want to have their left hand doing most of the work with all the movement. My less dominant hand does the simple up-down-up-down-up...

That's not too unusual. A buddy of mine writes left handed, but plays sports (golf, softball, basketball, bowling) as a rightie.

I might be the only lefty to play left-handed... My left hand just wasn't doing it for me when it came to the button pressing lol

Yeah thats why I have trouble with Lefty or a left handed guitar... my right hand isnt my dominant so moving it so quickly isnt that easy for me.. especially when I move my ring finger on my right hand my middle and pinky moves with it >< lol
As for people saying theyre playing drums lefty.... how do you do that on RB? o.O I think Ill be better on drums as a lefty

Indeed, my GF observed the same thing. I'd think a lefty would have an advantage fretting with their dominant hand, rather than strumming with it.
