I was wondering...Since Harmonix is in Boston, will us on the East Coast get Rock Band the day is comes out? Because whenever I am looking forward to a game, I always get it a day after it comes out. Basically because they make the game somewhere else, so the West coast gets it first. Will that be the case with this game? I mean, Nintendo is on the West Coast, and thats the games I look forward to. But considering Harmonix is on the East Coast, will we get it on the release date?

West coasters and East should be able to get it on the release date.
The game is usually at the stores before release date, unless the shipments come late or something like that, the game (since it will be big) should be on the shelves on release.

This game will be street dated because the logistics of shipping out a kajillion copies of games in giant boxes the day of release is completely impossible.
It'll be in stores a week or 2 before release, and sold on the release date.

Hm...If you're talking to me, it says I dont have any new messages. If it's the one about the friend request, I got it, and added you.

well it depends where you buy it from bro. Alot of online sales places (amazon, gamespot) are down in the south. Harmonix isn't shipping games right from HQ so living on the east coast gives you no advantage. you could live right next to rock band hq and have to get it the same day as someone in Los Angeles (not the same time obviously)

Let me check my list. WOAH! When did that happen? I am losing it tenfold.

All depends on where you live, and if it will be Street-Dated. If it's not street-dated, don't expect it until one day after release, although those that are lucky could get it on the release date (If it ships from the east coast, then some of the larger cities could get it the same day). If it is street-dated, most (if not all) retailers will recieve it 2-5 days early and sell it on the street-date.
Guitar Hero II for 360 did not show up in the town I live in until the day after, as was the case with many others.

I worked at a game store for a couple years. Any "big" game (madden, halo, GTA) or oversized are shipped a week or two early. We got GH1 about 2 weeks before release.

That date is unconfirmed, like every other date we have heard so far. Like other people have said, it doesn't really matter where you live, the game is going to be at the stores days before it actually goes on sale. Occasionally some stores will even slip up and sell it early (I got GH2 the day before it came out from Circuit City).

I'm just hoping for a 12:00am release event at GameStop. Rock Band is definitely worth an all-nighter :D

That sounds right. I'm pretty sure Harmonix doesn't have a factory right next door that's pumping out games to the East Coast first.
I have overnight shipping on the Amazon.com bundle, so I should get it the day it comes out without worries.
