I talked to a friend of mine that works at Game Crazy, and it seemed like he had no idea what bundle I was talking about when I mentioned a bundle with the following :
1 guitar controller
1 mic
1 drum peripheral
I had him switch over a pre-order from one game to Rock Band so I'd have a foot in the door, and I'm not sure if he put my money on the right bundle.
How many other bundles have you guys heard of, if any? Is there one standard bundle, or are the game places given full discretion what to bundle together?

GStop offers one bundle. Best Buy and GStop are the only two still offering wireless Strats. At least until the catalog is updated or Harmonix announces something official and rock solid (no pun intended).

The special edition bundle of $200 is the only rumored bundle ATM, and thats game+guitar+mic+drums.
However i'd guess there'd be bundles of game+guitar and game+drums for $100 and game+mic for $80

I also happen to work at a Game Crazy, and can answer a couple of things here for you (Especially since I am keeping a close eye on Rock Band, myself). So far in our system, we have the Rock Band game (non bundled), Guitar, Drums, Mic (I think), and a Rock Band bundle. The guitar, drums, and mic each have a price (which could all change before the game releases, obviously), the only one that I remember is drums listed as $80.
We only have one bundle listed in our system, so far. It does not mention what it will contain, it's just listed as Rock Band Bundle. It's not priced in the system, yet. I have pre-ordered this bundle myself. If there would happen to be more than one bundle, any pre-orders on this would likely carry to the main, or largest, bundle.
I've been checking up on Rock Band every day I work, and can't wait for it! So, just for the record, all this info is at least correct in my region (Midwest), and will likely change. So as long as your friend pre-ordered a bundle, it should be the correct one.

The problem is nothing has been announced yet, so all the stores are left up to pure speculation. Most likely a bundle will consist of Guitar, Drums, Mic and game. But I would not be surprised to see other bundles or deals for Guitar and Game, Drum set and game, and Mic and Game for those who do not want to buy a huge bundle, but may still be offered a discount this way.

Aside from the big bundle, I should hope that they have 2-piece bundles like Paska said above.
If it's anything like the issue with GH, it's still hard to find just an Xplorer guitar by itself in stores! Anyone who can afford it should just get the whole bundle. We all know we're gonna want to try everything, or someone you know will want to play the other instruments.
But as for the rumored bundle and price, there's no way it's coming with 2 guitars, that would just bump up the price way too much. It's assumed the guitar will cost $80, 2 guitars would be $160 alone. If the bundle is $200, that's a HUGE discount, too much of a discount though.
Not really sure why the Ps3 guitar is listed at $60. But also strange, Gamestop has the Ps3 peripherals listed to release as 11/1/07, everything else for 11/20/07. Odd.

You figure $30 mic, $60 game, $80 guitar, $80 drums = $250.
I think $200 seems to be a reasonable priced bargain. You're practically getting the game free.

Hmmmm..............very interesting news guys. I am really guessing the game is $200 like most of you, and it definately wont be $1,000, cuz thats just stupid, nobody will buy it for that price, lol. There is 5 of us, me, my 2 bros, and my mom, we will probably buy the Largest set, even though we have 2 GH2 360 guitars, and start a band as us 4, im not sure about my dad, and i dont think my lil sis will be able to play cuz she's only 6. I was reading on the site yesterday about hireing a band manager in the game. I want to know if the band manager will be controlled by a controller, or if it will be a computer. Does anyone have any info on this?

This is all a mystery thus far. They haven't gone into detail yet about it. So I doubt anyone really knows what it's going to be like.
It could very well be just as in-depth as saying, "In GH2 career mode, you go to different cities, earn cash, and get sponsored!" Even though when you actually see it, it's just a little cartoon bus going across a map, a screen pops up saying you earn X amount of cash, and such and such Brand sponsors you. It wasn't very involved.
Hopefully this manager thing can be a character you actually interact with in-game.
It would more than likely be a computer-controlled character.

Hmm....I don't know. Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 was $80 with the guitar. So...
Guitar + Game - $80
Drums - Maybe $80
Mic - Maybe $30
That only adds up to $190. I assume there's going to be a savings if you buy the bundle. So either the bundle is going to be less than $200, or there are going to be 2 guitars. (Or they're going to rip us off)

The GH guitars were cheaper. And the game was cheaper. Originally GH was costing around $50 with the guitar costing around $50. Thus making that bundle a bargain by offering it $20 less.
They're not making that a bundle within a bundle. So the guitar + game $80 won't work.
As I stated above,
$30 mic, $60 game, $80 guitar, $80 drums =
$250
Bundle =
$200.00 It's still a great bargain.

GH2 for the 360 was $90 not $80. I think $100 for a wired version of rock band would be a very safe bet.

Off the Gamestop website under the FEATURES section you'll see this:
"Contains: game, wired guitar, microphone and drum set."
Again theres nothing official from HMX so it could change.....hopefully it's the wireless guitar in the bundle!! :D

GH2 was also for PS2.
PS3 games are more expensive.
XBOX360 games are more expensive.
My guess are:
Guitar + Game = 100
Drums + Game = 100
Mic + Game = 80
Game = 60
Super Bundle = 200

I'd say that's probably about right.

Didn't you see I said the GH2 price was for the XBox 360? Hmm, you think there are going to be 4 copies of the game in one bundle?
