I don't know about you guys, but I think the on-line forum is a joke. The no microphone issue is already being dealt with, so I won't talk about that, but to start, having your band members randomly selected for you is a horrible idea. Why can't a forum be developed in which you go into a Rock Band community and there are multiple people waiting there to be selected? You could then select a person and view all of their stats, for example what level they are comfortable playing on, how many songs they quit in the middle of, their favorite songs, etc. I'm tired of getting stuck with people that play on easy, or think they can play at a harder level and muck up the entire song. This would also apply to the solo on-line experience. Why would I want to play on easy when it's no fun for me, and why would somebody that plays on easy want to play me on hard/expert when it would be no competition or fun for them? The use of mic's would obviously help this, but they don't have those either. I love to play and love the game, but in their rush to get this game out, they have really fallen short on critical issues. I hope they can develop patches and make the on-line experience truly enjoyable.
