View Full Version : Already Having RockBand Dreams.....

So is this a bad sign that I am already dreaming vividly about this?
Dream as is follows: ( I am sure you all can appreciate this)
I am sitting at Best Buy, waiting for the midnight opening for the release of RockBand. :) The doors finally open, and I go in to purchase my new addiction for the next few months. For some reason, there is not a bundle option. So I grab the game, the mic, the guitar, and I ask where the drums are. The associate tells me that they were around the corner. I arrive where they were and was shocked to find that the drums were nothing like we all have seen.
I was heartbroken. :( I asked what the deal was, and the associate told me that they haven't received the "authentic" drums yet, but these would work if I needed them immediately. I started to leave, but the associate then told me that the truck just arrived, and if I wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes, they would get me the real set. :D
The real set finally arrives, and my bill was just over $300. I bought a second guitar, because I am hardcore like that. I then have to work the rest of the day, and I put all the equipment in my trunk. I then come home at the end of the day, and my wife was watching tv. We sat and talked like we always do at the end of the day. We couldn't find anything on tv.
I then suddenly had an epiphany. I had forgotten that I had purchased Rock Band and I asked my wife if she would like to play with me. She gets exited and of course says yes, I get really excited, run to my car to get the game, plug it all in, get so excited........so exited......I wake up......
I almost cried........

I believe I've already had a Rock Band dream. Just can't remember what it was lol.

I had one last week. All I can really remember about it was being a bit confused about how it was out already, and not being able to focus on any more songs than what are already announced. And, the mic was REALLY heavy, like almost freakishly so. I'm not sure if I actually got to play it or not, it was kind of a murky dream.

I haven't had any dreams of me playing or getting the game.. but I had one where GHIII was rated M. I don't know the rest of the dream at all..

I've had one. It wasn't as in-depth.
I just had the game and only the guitar, somehow, months before the release. I was trying to get to the top of the leaderboards and there were a few other people online that had the game and guitar as well.

Yea Rock Band is always on my mind too, I think it makes it a whole lot worse because it feels like it is never going to be here that way. The more I want it to be November, the longer it takes for it to get here.
I actually had these really odd Rock Band related dream the other day where I came to this odd conclusion that I realized why they had taken Clive Winston and Pandora out of GH III and that was because they would actually be featured in Rock Band, and then some guy from Harmonix actually confirmed it after I said it... Very weird, too much Rock Band on the brain I think.

That would be AMAZING! :D
I never played as either, Izzy Sparks was my guy, but still, that'd be pretty sweet. I bet there'll be some people who make their character look like one of them.

You think YOU'RE addicted!? Here's what I'm doing (In Real Life)
Well, me and my mom and her boyfriend are moving (Divorce Troubles) So I thought, "Hey, why not optimize my new room for Rock Band!?"
My current room setup is definatly not rock band oriented, I have almost 0 space. So I'm going to get rid of a ton of stuff, and make it so theres a huge amount of space in the middle of the room, for the guitarist, bassist, Drummer, and Singer of course!
So I'm going to make my new room completely FOR Rock Band! That's commitment.
Also, I bought a 360 just for the game. Sure I'm not the only one who did it, but...
I'm buying a 37" Plasma Screen TV for Rock Band!! Sure, the one I have now is really great. There really isnt any reason why I should get rid of it. It's about 27", no problems with it at all. Almost new. But hell, why not optimize for Rock Band! It'll set me back another 600 bucks. That's what I call an addiction...

Thats cool, if you go all out and make your room look like some stage for rockband, that would be really cool... Hey if you aren't doing anything with that old 27-incher, pass it on to me :D

I vaguely remember seeing the inside of the Rock Band package. The drums on top of everything. That's all I remember though, unfortunately. (In my dream)

I have no room either.. I'm moving in a month or so.. and we're going to be getting a basement put on.. so it'll probably go down there once it's done.. but until then, I'm going to have to find room in my room for everything.. I'm sure once I clean it up, it won't be too bad.

Thats nothing!
I'm getting my room painted to look like a stadium, complete with stage curtains, a closet that looks like an amp, real people in the crowd, and I'm turning my bed into a stage.

The wait is killing me, but luckily I've only had one Rock Band-related dream:
I go to preorder the game, and a few days later all the instruments arrive, for some reason.
There is also a blu-ray disc, but for some reason it's a demo and only contains two songs.
Fair enough, I try to play those two then. But in order to do that, the game suddenly demands a password that I have no chance of knowing.
A friend of mine recommends me to go to rockband.com. And there I find the code.
I punch in the code, the game starts and I wake up. F me.

When I played RB in my dreams it was completely out of sync, like the notes didnt match up to the music at all. I was playing more than a feeling on drums, but it just wasn't working, and the drum sticks were really fragile so i couldnt hit the pads hard.
Then i woke up and the end of More Than a Feeling was playing on the radio.

I hate in dreams when you go to buy something and it's totally not what you expect, and it sucks. You wake up hoping that it doesn't really turn out that way.
I've had a lot of dreams where that happens. I wonder why? It's like those dreams you have when your teeth are falling out. It all means something.

Yeah, so I had one last night. It was actually a dream about going to PAX. Horribly enough I never actually played or saw the game in the dream. I did however see a RB shirt they were handing out that was..odd. A polo shirt with multiple colored vertical strips and some kind of yello RB graphic center chest (small, can't remember it exactly). Really strange because I don't even own one polo shirt...There were a few HMX folks there and I asked one of them if they were from the forums and she said yes and now I can't remember what she said her name was, haha. Getting in an hour early because I pre-regd was even part of the dream. geez...
