i just broke my second bass pedal in a month. this time i didnt even see a crack, it just happened. i also do not bang on my pedal, i play with my heel down. i also have very big feet (12 wide) so they may have had something to do with it. is there a kind of bass pedal out there that wont break after a couple of days??

Trust me it's not the size of your foot I have a larger size. Maybe it's just bad luck.

I'm not sure if any of your Rock Band pedals were the new stronger variety but yeah, there are pedals that are harder to break.
Lemme see if I can list all the privateer pedal reinforcements:
1. Megapedal or other diamond steel plate
2. Megapedal aluminum plate
3. Megapedal aluminum replacement pedal
4. Woodrock wood replacement pedal
5. Carbon pedal (replacement? plate?)
6. Polycarbonate plate
7. PedalMetal aluminum plate (w/ hinge)
8. and various others.
Also there's the option (pricier, fussier) of getting a real bass pedal and a few dollars of internet-equivalent Radioshack parts and making a functioning controller out of that.

Actually it is very believeable.
You can take a brand new pedal and use your fingertips on the end to push the pedal.
You can see it flex visually.
They are poorly engineered.
When you get the new one reinforce it with any of several methods.
