hell yes a 311 fan :D, id also like to see alter bridge, i met myles kennedy (lead singer of AB, and Mark Tremonti the guitarist) at a PRS Guitars Invitational thing....was awesome spent all day talkin to em, they gave me stuff, and invited me to come to shows so we swapped phone numbers...its awesome :D

I would spend any reasonable amount of money for a 311 download pack. Even one song would be unexpected and incredible.

No, they're not "just another average band" as someone replied before me... if they release any 311 DLC, you will be proven wrong when your ass is KICKED by chad sexton's drumming, tim mahoney's guitar riffs, and p-nut's bass lines. TRUST ME. They're among some of the most musically talented people to ever grace your radio... if it's not your style, that's cool, but don't hate, ok buddy? I happen to hate most iron maiden and AC/DC songs, but I understand that they're great musicians and deserve respect.

Also, whoever said "true" 311 fans don't like the soundsystem album... I don't know where you got that from... some of their deepest and most meaningfully themed songs came from that album, as well as some of their best instrumentals... and I've been listening since close to day one.

We have a better shot at seeing anything after the blue album, simply because they evolved to have a majority of their songs more rock based and less funk/rap based. It's all good music, but I'd have to say that the larger chunk of their RB compatible songs came after 1995.

From this little town called Omaha. I don't know why anyone here would claim to be a true fan, though... :confused: Back when Soundsystem was first released, a lot of people I knew (and even ones who I didn't know, so you can't just say, "Well, your friends have bad taste in music") were *****ing and moaning about it, claiming it's not up to par with the rest of their albums. Much like people do about Modest Mouse's two most recent albums, which are both masterpieces. Or any other band, for that matter.

All those songs are awesome. Down really really needs to get into RB. The thing is the drums would be insanely difficult in most of their songs. I think with the new velocity sensitive pads coming soon it will be possible to play most 311's songs.

I emailed the 311 publicist a few weeks ago about Rock Band, obviously I didn't expect to get a response. When I came into work the next day I had got a reply from her.:eek:

I know Bob Rock will be producing their new album and the bands he has been apart of are all ready seeing a huge success on Rock Band ( Mettalica, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue).

Please if there is anyway we can get 311 to be apart of this I know a huge following would download their songs in a heart beat. Here are a few links if you get some free time check them out.

If you listen to 311's music and think about it, they are a perfect match for rockband. You've got Nick Hexums great vocals, P-nuts intense bass strumming, Tim Mahonys shredding guitar playing, and Chad Sextons excellent drumming. Not to mention S.A. Martinez on the mic too.

It would be nice to have song that have great guitar solos as well as fun drum solos. Therefore 311 DLC would deliver on all aspects.

Harmonix, you guys have access to Sony BMG...I know, I just looked it up. There's no reason NOT to have the good ol' Omaha boyz in there. HARMONIX you have been put on notice. you have till 3/11/09 to get at least TWO 311 songs. TWO! after that date i think alot RB loyalist, myself included, are going to have to do something we really don't want to do just to play 1 damn song... i think you guys know where i'm goin with this."
