I hear the critics of Paradise City (all 3 or 4 of them, haha) recite that mantra, but I just can't buy into it, especially after I had one of my friends play the part today. I mean, yes there are parts that repeat, but that's true with most songs. A riff might repeat 3 times, then have the 4th be a variation, but then it's off to something else (first heavy chord section is a prime example). You may as well put Sweet Child O' Mine in that category as well, for the intro alone. It is easily more repetitive than PC. Some especially fun songs to play in the GH series have been at least as repetitive as PC. Freya comes to mind, Monkey Wrench comes to mind, etc.

Also, keep in mind that this is not GH3. This is RB. Percussion and vocals now factor into the equation as well, and the guitar/drum synergy in the intro is hella sweet. It's that kind of "bandmate vibe" that I think a ton of people would enjoy, and from the interview at E3, it seems like that's a big part of Harmonix's concept for the game. The guitar player still gets a great solo, and the singer gets to belt out a couple of nice "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME"s. Do I think it's the end-all, be-all song for RB? No I don't, but I can see where a lot of people would enjoy it, and the poll results seemed to bear that out. I'm just glad that Harmonix likes GnR, so we'll more than likely get something from them, and I'll be happy regardless.

Paradise City wouldn't be bad (It's more repetitive for the vocalist than anything else), but Nightrain would be better.

It was my most wanted song for GH 80's. I was expecting it to be the final encore so I hope it makes Rock Band. Though I'd be fine with just about anything from them 'cept Welcome to the Jungle or Sweet Child.

I was disapointed when I saw the leaked Rock Band demonstration and they were using Welocme To The Jungle instead of Paradise City. Paradise City would be the better GNR song for this game. And btw Linkin Park are a bunch of **ssy's

While I do like Paradise City, I'm personally hoping for "Civil War" or "November Rain" (I know, I know it's not exciting enough for all parts, but one can dream, right?). Hell, let's get all of "Appetite For Destruction" and all of both "Use Your Illusion"s up on DLC!!
