Hmm...?

I usually am making fun of the lyrics or someone who is playing :p

It depends. When I'm in BWT (playing solo), I have to use the headset. And since it's not as sensitive as the mic, I've got to do something drastic. So instead of trying to shout (which surprising doesn't work) I just do a sharp whistle. I find the "get over here" type works more than a catcall type whistle.

If I'm using the mic, I'll usually either lead into the next phrase with "Ooooh!" or hold the last word from the previous one. It sounds more natural than shouting or making some quick noise.

When you see the yellow solo part, just say ANYTHINg real fast into the mic ... usually itll come up when you dont expect it so just be ready. Someone has to fail for you to be able to use the feature, also you must have star power (the yellow bar must be blinking).

I usually go with a simple "Woo!" Like everyone's been saying, it only works on the parts with no vocals when it's all gold. Keep in mind, setting it off right before an energy phrase (those orange pitch lines, that's how you earn overdrive power) makes your overdrive last way longer.

lately i've been shouting random metalocalypse phrases, however sometimes i just blow on the mic or tap it. sometimes i'll point it at the bassist as he activates his to feel special. one man, activating all the overdrive is fun.

I simply tap the mic twice.

I usually just hold over the note from the last phrase unless I have some smartass comment I can make about the song itself. Or someone's (myself included) performance of said song.

I just blow in the mic. I know, boring, but it works.

I usually make whatever noise comes out of my mouth. It varies and I don't have time to think about it.

I was hoping this would be a more attractive thread, trying to get away from all the song bashing and over asked questions on the forum.

I like to carry over the last word from the previous phrase if I can. It sounds best and doesn't break the themeof the song.

Barring that, I'll usually shout "TIMMY!" or "More Cowbell!". If I have a longer interlude, I'll do "scream for me, (city name)!".

If I have a really long interlude I will introduce the band or criticize the crummy song I've been forced to sing (like "Welcome Home")

I usually do a "WOO" into the mic or I tap on the mic a few times. Depends on how my throat is feeling.

I been getting tired of the "WOO!" for activation, so I'm been been "Yee-Haw!" since I'm in Texas.

Totally True. Sad, but true.
