PS2 will not recognize microphone - help?

Just bought the special edition bundle for PS2. 1) How do we play with two instruments and mic simultaneously? The PS2 only has two USB ports. I read something about the game providing a USB hub, but I don't see one...

2) When the mic is plugged in, the game does not recognize it. Yes, I read the manual. Yes, I have a controlled plugged in.

There should, indeed, be a USB hub in the bundle. Check the packaging, it's not too big. Any powered USB hub should also work, and the RB hub is also available separately.

Make sure your Sixaxis controller is plugged into Port 1 on your console. If that doesn't solve it, turn off the console with everything still connected and restart it.
