Rokk the Wiki (Please Give Input)

We should band together and have a Rock Band Wiki where RB news, community news, and events can be headlined and allow bands to create their own page.

What do you guys think? Good, bad? Anybody write fluent Wiki code?

If enough people care I'll get a team. It's just alot of work for nothing if no one cares.

Why not? Easy format anyone can learn, already heavy traffic, and simple to police (not easy but simple).

Sounds great to me, I'd love to look through at the different bands and other things the community can come up with. Not to mention adding my own awesome band of course.

I'd also like to help.. I almost made my own Wiki in the past (I forget what it was about now..) I never did figure out how, though.. If someone does get it set up.. I will contribute as much as I can.

I can't find it anymore, but there used to a site where you oculd make your own wikis. Sort of like Geocities for wikis. I'll try to find it tomorrow.

Perhaps I speak for myself here, (and I don't want to be a hater) but whenever I hear anyone cite wiki anything as a source, the credibility of the information instantly drops to zero. It is about as informative a source as if I said "my mom told me so".

Well I know how ya feel Apples but 95% of the time it just takes common sense to decipher fact and fiction.

Thanks for your interest guys! Like I said give it a few weeks and I'll begin rallying people together. I need to familirize myself with the language and format.

Yeah but usually it's pretty obvious if it's fake... Plus, if we made a Wiki it should be credable... I mean, what would us Rock Bandians lie about... Except maybe where babies come from, silly pelicans.

That could have something to do with the fact that MediaWiki was originally developed for Wikipedia.
