After that dude from harmonix said that at least one of these bands (Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Monkees, Beatles) was to be in Rock Band I was super happy. Then I remembered a Thom Yorke interview in which he said something along teh lines of how he felt that selling his music was like selling his soul.
Immeditaley I paniced at the thought of myself not being able to rock to any Radiohead tunes this fall...
Until I saw this:

At a Sony Computer Entertainment America event held Friday at the always-classy House of Blues in Chicago, the publisher revealed the first 15 tracks from the North American release of SingStar for the PlayStation 3, which will feature extensive downloadable content when it ships on November 13th. Additional tracks are likely forthcoming, but for now, check out the first batch of songs that you'll embarrass yourself to this holiday season (with help from the PlayStation Eye).
The Automatic - Monster
Britney Spears - Toxic
David Bowie - Let's Dance
Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
Ne-Yo - So Sick
Outkast - Hey Ya!
The Pixies - Here Comes Your Man
Queens of the Stone Age - Go With the Flow
Radiohead - No Surprises
R.E.M. - Losing My Religion
Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin'
U2 - Beautiful Day
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Wolfmother - Love Train
I immediatley jumped with happiness and thought of Rock Band.
This could be nothing, but if you love Radiohead as much as I do, you'll jump at this news.
Now if I just wanted a PS3 enough that I would buy a whole system and a mediocre singing game just for No Suprises... Hmm...
PS: No Suprises is like da best song Evar! Go listen to it!

Wow, in this short list there are already a lot of good songs! I'm surprised. Now I have to hope my friends get the PS3 and the new Singstar! (Btw, hasn't that Franz Ferdinand song been on some other Singstar version already?)

Yeah I thought so too.
I honestly have to admit, as far as pop music goes, those guys know how to put together a set list.
I mean, No Suprises, Buddy Holly, Losing My Religion, Hey Ya...
Fantastic songs in their own right.

Yea that list is actually pretty damn terrible, except for QotSA and Radiohead.
But that is definetly reason to have a glimmer of hope for Radiohead to appear in Rock Band.

Damn, you're getting me excited!!! :D
It would make the game for me if they get Radiohead in it. Man I hope it happens.
I can't believe the Pixies are on that list too. That would be fantastic in RB.

Yeah, most of those songs are mediocre. but that doesnt mean they wouldnt be awesome for a kareoke game. Plus No Suprises, Buddy Holly, Losing My Religion, Hey Ya, and Go With the Flow are ligitimatley good songs.

He was more reffering to selling out his music. Obviosuly he wouldnt mean it in that context.

"Losing my Religion" - That's an easy "5-star" on any level. Just hold your nose and sing. You'll sound just like Michael Stipe. :p

There are a few songs on there that I wouldn't mind seeing in Rock Band, or at least a few bands. Radiohead, Scissor Sisters, David Bowie, U2, Weezer, Wolfmother. Obviously some of these are already in Rock Band.
