How does one go about getting a "classy" name? I even used my own real life name as a name for a character and it wasn't classy. I'm mildly offended by that but more disappointed by never being able to get a name classy enough...

I am playing on a Xbox 360

Thanks in advance for the help.

If the game says your name isn't classy, that just means it contains some combination of characters that may not be appropriate. Sometimes the filter will catch a word that isn't actually bad but happens to have one of those character combinations.

If you want to make sure to have a classy name just stick to names and words that, in their super rock-ocity, are not borderline offensive. If your name happens to have a bad combination of characters just keep trying and remember to keep it simple!

Thanks for teh tip EAXviolet...

one question however...i tried various "offensive" names on a friends PS3 and some (not all) of those names are accepted but not on the xbox 360 (which I play on)...why the discrepancy????

It is likely that Microsoft and Sony use different filters (if we are using their filters) or have different filter requirements (if it's a game-specific filter). I'm not very familiar with that though, so I'll ask and see if I can find out.
